Under the single bonnet scoop of a car built to hunt Astons and Maserati’s, Eve Scheer drops into the low bucket seat and pulls on that Ravenol lid. Ahead of her Goodwood circuit, a grid full of history, and a name on the trophy that demands respect. This is the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy, and she is about to send a black 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB thundering down the Lavant Straight.
Few road racers wear their purpose as plainly as the 250 GT SWB. Pininfarina drew it, Scaglietti built the aluminum and steel bodies at his Modena works, and Ferrari shortened the wheelbase to 2,400mm to sharpen the handling for exactly this kind of battle. Under that long hood sits Gioacchino Colombo's 3.0 liter V12, screaming toward 7,000rpm with a sound that still stops people in their tracks six decades later. It is worth remembering that Moss himself won the Goodwood Tourist Trophy in a 250 GT SWB in both 1960 and 1961, the very car this trophy now honors.
Eve Scheer's own road to this grid was anything but ordinary. A German actress who spent years as a lead on the soap opera Unter Uns, she walked away from that security to chase the thing she actually loved: speed. She earned her competition license at the Nurburgring, made her racing debut in 2002, and has since campaigned in the Alfa 147 Cup, the Porsche Sports Cup, and the VW Scirocco Cup, along with three runs at the brutal 24 Hours of Nurburgring. Today she splits her time between the cockpit and the microphone, presenting MotoGP coverage across Europe.
V12 wails, and Goodwood does what it always does turns back the clock and lets legends like this one run free. @eve_scheer @goodwoodrevival @joemacariperformance

The 83rd Member’s Meeting @goodwoodrrc marked a historic success for the little Volkswagen Polo/Audi 50: In a field of 28 historic touring cars with engines up to 2.8 litres — and an absurdly strong lineup of highly successful racing drivers — we managed to secure a 17th place overall in the Win Percy Trophy. An incredible result for our tiny underdog and the first time in history that a VW Polo/Audi 50 saw the chequered flag in an official race at @goodwoodmotorcircuit

A huge thank you to the wonderful @eve_scheer , who delivered an outstanding performance and an absolutely perfect race on Saturday. It was such a pleasure to spend time with you around Goodwood and listen to you shift the gearbox so perfectly! 🙏🏻🫶🏻🙏🏻

In Sunday’s owner’s race, we were starting right in the mix and were even able to overtake two of the much quicker cars, paving the way for this midfield finish. A sensation!

Big thanks to @kwlmotorsport and Rolf Krogel for his support, Andy Foyle, @jayson87xx , Colin, @lucalesi99 , Gio, Stephen, @jimmorris44 , Martin, Florian & friends @flynnie5321 and the brilliant @eve_scheer, and all supporters for this brilliant weekend. We already can’t wait to come back to Goodwood next time. ❤️
