Went to @olafurarnalds and this concert brought tears to my soul. This stunning concert and confession about presence, being here now, the gift of art, being alive was so profound.
This talent, confession, being, stopping the audience to be. And we stopped, and felt, in awe, in oneness and it gave me hope! Thank you @olafurarnalds ✨💕✨💕 by @evelynetollman

LA moments! With so many beautiful people to squeeze.

Thank you for all the birthday 🩷✨🩷 by @evelynetollman

I’ve been working on the script MAN KIND for over a year. What does it mean to be kind? What would you do for success? What do we do for prestige ? How do we disconnect from kindness. Inspired by animal rights and the visionary Jane Goodall. Almost there! Writing is rewriting.

Thank you @halina_jasinska for the great new headshots 🩷✨🩷 and @noramakeupartistvegan by @evelynetollman

Moments of awe are so important. To lay down in a field with strangers and all eek when you witness the eclipse or a shooting star! I also can’t deny this summer has been filled with deep grief about global warming. Our garden is dying, I hear less birds and fires everywhere. But I believe we must get angry to change. Weep, mourn and then demand change. Eat less meat, grow plants, and regrow the decimated earth. WHO else is angry? Grieving and mourning? by @evelynetollman

Nothing beats family time with my boys! Time is the richest commodity. I feel like I am trying to catch light in my hands and it just slips through. It’s just too beautiful, too fast and fleeting. by @evelynetollman

Twenty years of friendship! So beautiful to have friendships that grow, and last and build over time. Through babies, moves, marriage and dreams. @sarahbackhouse I love you my smart, beautiful friend! And that our partners nerd out to music together is hilarious to witness and the icing on the cake 🩷🩷🩷 by @evelynetollman

Evelyn Tollman befriended Risa Igelfeld and began filming her when Risa was eighty-five years old, continuing through her one hundredth birthday. The result is the beautiful documentary “The Stand Up Doll.”

I invited Evelyn to be part of We Are Hubby because we share a love of celebrating the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.

Risa lost her mother as a baby, fled Vienna during World War II, lost her father, and many members of her family were murdered in the Holocaust. Yet she somehow carried forward a spirit of humor, grace, and joy that inspired everyone around her.

Now 105 years young, Risa reminds us that while we cannot always choose what happens to us, we can choose who we become in response.

I was honored to make a small cameo in the film, portraying Risa’s younger self delighting in the simple luxury of putting on silk stockings.

And a little joy for my INWORDOUT family: Evelyn is wearing an IWO Be Tee in this photo from Risa’s final visit to Los Angeles.

Evelyn is an extraordinary actress, writer, producer, filmmaker, and healer, and I am thrilled that she will also be featured in We Are Hubby. “The Stand Up Doll” is available on Amazon Prime, Vimeo, and Tubi.

Thank you to my beautiful friend @galtudyk for inviting me to her favorite city. Belgrade did not disappoint. It was full of creativity and a fierce rebellious. Travel connects us, broadens our narrow viewpoints. by @evelynetollman

Look Ma! I’m in the trees, and I couldn’t be happier. Oh the trees! The trees! I can’t stop talking to them. I’m green with an abundance of trees, and birds. Go outside if you feel lost. Nature heals. by @evelynetollman

Wotruba Church! When you’re just taking a walking in the forest and stumble on a famous brutalist church! Wowzah!
