In this experimental live performance, sound and form converged through our installation «Array of Reflection». By routing audio from ableton and hardware instruments through an analog mixer, we sorted frequencies and audio inputs before translating it into the visual domain.

Across a 20 minute set, the visuals were entirely driven by the audio in real time, as if the sound itself became the artist, continuously shaping the visual field as it unfolded.

Array of Reflection – Light Art Installation

We wanted to create something that could perform in a similar way to an LED screen, but that felt more immersive, three-dimensional, and all-encompassing. The idea was born after experimenting with glass and the unique reflections it creates, depending on what is projected onto it, as well as the viewing angles, materials, and programming used.
The concept of a work that could exist as a sculptural installation during the day, reflecting and wrapping its surroundings and transform into a powerful visual display at night was particularly intriguing. After extensive drawings, visualisations, and laser mapping, we arrived at the 12-piece modular design on which the final work, Array of Reflection, is based.

We’re excited to welcome @even.wav to Trollkauk!

Originally from Innherred and now living on a sailboat in Kristiansand, Even is a Norwegian artist and musician known for his experimental approach to electronic music and improvisation. Using laptop and electronics as instruments, he explores live sampling, remixing and sound manipulation — constantly recycling and reshaping audio into new forms.

Driven by a strong DIY ethos, his live sets are always evolving and tailored to the moment, creating a unique experience for each audience. Whether performing hypnotic, industrial club music as Even.wav or presenting his own electronic compositions, his music blends elements of ambient, sci-fi, jazz and film music through improvisation and live remixing.

Even has collaborated with artists such as Hamid Drake, Lutosławski Quartet, Maciej Obara, Audun Kleive, Nils Petter Molvær and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK).

We can’t wait to experience this exploratory and hypnotic performance together at Trollkauk 🌀
