I do A LOT of coverups, and every single piece you see here is one! 🖤

The first one actually covers 5 separate tattoos that were spread out across a pretty large area.

Laser removal can be a great option, but it’s also a time-consuming process and not necessarily the right choice for everyone.

These are just a few examples of what can be achieved with heavy blackwork, bold designs, and thoughtful placement. Instead of simply hiding an old tattoo, I love creating something completely new that works with the body and feels intentional.

I’m so excited to kickoff October with these really cool healed photos from my client Andrea I’m so grateful for her trust in me and letting me make such cool pieces for her! Does anyone else experience this? I’ve been getting so many of these lately. You know that saying that fixing someone else’s mistake is harder that just having done it well the first time… this is what it feels like. And ultimately that client is unintentionally setting themselves up to be possibly disappointed.
.
Just want to be clear that I’m not shaming clients for doing what they need to do to communicate what they want.
.
I want to focus more on the fact that we absolutely do not need these images to understand what you are asking for. You may be thinking it’s making our job easier but it’s actually just complicating the process. I’d rather you dm me the prompt. by @eveningstartattoo

I have so many unfinished projects out in the world right now, and these are some of my favorites. 🖤 I seriously can’t wait to see them all finished.

That’s the reality of working on large-scale pieces — you don’t always get to see the final result until months, or sometimes even a year or more, after starting them. But I love watching each piece slowly come together session by session.

I have a couple of spots available for next month, and after that I’m pretty much fully booked until mid January. If you’ve been thinking about starting a larger project with me, now is a good time to reach out. 🖤

The tattoo from my guest spot at @edenbodyartstudios. I had such a great time hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones. I’m planning to come back in the spring when the weather is not 🥵 and more 🌿.

This tattoo was a challenge because I had never done anything tribalesque, but I still wanted my style to come through incorporating some filigree. My client originally wanted me to rework the black and grey piece on her forearm to add color. I don’t think color layers well on black and grey so I suggested to add to it instead, to which she decided to make it a sleeve. We did consecutive 3 days on this piece that combines 3 of the places that she lives most: Washington, Colorado and Hawaii. This in itself wasn’t easy to make these 3 aesthetics blend seamlessly.

I decided to do mount Rainer for washington, lupine flowers for Colorado and hibiscus flowers for Hawaii. Framed by shapes that echoed the tribal tattoo she had on her forearm. I’d love to do more like these next year! taken in Eden Body Art Studios by @eveningstartattoo
