Whiskey barrels, cigars, leather and wood all very masculine details. But the French Toile and shades of pink flowers dripping from everything added the perfect balance of feminine romance and softness. It was the perfect mix of him and her and the perfect backdrop for Perri and Dawson. by @eventfullweddings

The literal cherry on top. 🍒And an alternative to the espresso martini? A tiramisu-tini tower! Fun and delicious.

Josee and Alex’s wedding was a trifecta of great venues, including getting ready at the Meridien Hotel, a ceremony at Sacred Heart Church, and a lunch reception at Jackson's Bistro. Red roses, a classic car, a tuxedo-and-veil kind of love story, and a little rain that didn’t slow anyone down. Their fur babies were part of the day too, from the sweet portrait in the bridal suite to the little ring dish with their pups on it. Bring all your doggies to me so I can hug them!!! Getting ready with your pup has got to be the best thing ever.

Huge thanks to the @eventfullweddings team for helping to pull it all together.

Wedding morning can bring a LOT of anxiety. 🤍

The pressure for everything to be perfect, the endless moving pieces, the schedules, the weather… It can all feel overwhelming.

Sometimes, you just need a moment to pause, breathe, and pray. To place your worries in God’s hands.

Because a wedding isn’t about perfect details or a flawless timeline. It’s about love, commitment, and the life you’re choosing to build together.

Sometimes, the best design decisions start with a logistical challenge.

We had a band that required a 16’ x 24’ footprint, but there was one little problem: their setup needed to occupy the exact space we had planned for our ceremony backdrop.

The ceremony and reception were happening in the same room, which meant a complete room flip with only ONE hour to make it happen. The band needed to be set up and ready to go before the ceremony, but we certainly didn’t want them to become the backdrop for our vows!

So, how do you hide a 16’ x 24’ band?

Our inspiration was black toile, which we carried into a custom backdrop design. We incorporated fabric to add texture and dimension, creating a backdrop that felt intentional and cohesive with the overall design.

As we began installing it, we realized our original concept wasn’t translating quite the way we had envisioned. So, we experimented with a few different configurations until we found the one that worked.

The solution? We positioned the band tightly behind the custom wall, giving them just enough room to spread out during the room flip. This allowed us to repurpose the ceremony backdrop behind the band while the rest of the room transformed for the reception.

The result? A seamless transition without the added pressure of trying to set up an entire band and complete a sound check in just 60 minutes.

This is where planning, design, and teamwork come together. It took collaboration and communication between multiple vendors to execute the plan successfully. Because a beautiful wedding isn’t just about how things look—it’s about making sure all the moving pieces work together behind the scenes.

✨ Fun fact: The staple gun I’m using in the photos belonged to my dad. I’m pretty sure it’s at least 50 years old! Proof that sometimes the best tools in the business aren’t the fanciest ones.

💍 Ever wonder how the tradition of getting ready with your girlfriends on your wedding day began?

It goes back centuries!

In ancient Rome, women helped brides prepare for their wedding, including styling their hair and dressing for the ceremony.

Over time, wedding preparations evolved. By the modern era, getting ready with your bridesmaids became more than just a practical necessity. It became a time for friendship, laughter, happy tears, and making memories before walking down the aisle. 🥂

Today, the bridal suite has become an experience all of its own.

Making sure every detail is perfect for Josee & Alex. It’s the little things we see and correct that make the overall atmosphere look polished and elevated. No crooked chairs, crooked place cards or sloppy napkin folds. The details are checked and rechecked to meet our standards.
