You can lose a customer and never know it.

A contact form that goes nowhere. Tracking that was never installed. Follow-up that depends on your memory.

I'm Destiny, founder of EventProCoach in Calgary. I started in events, and running EventPro Connect taught me that things go wrong in the part nobody sees. Now I work on that part for small businesses. I check what your website, tracking, and follow-up are doing, fix what's broken, and build what's missing. Two weeks, done with you.

I built it for my own business first. See NativPott's site at www.nativpott.ca.

Two ways to start:

1. The Foundation Sprint: two weeks, done with you, $1,997 fixed.
2. The Audit: a written read on where your gaps are, $297.

Not sure which one you need? Book a free 20-minute call through the link in my bio and I'll tell you honestly.

Or comment CHECKLIST and I'll send you my free 10-point website checklist.

Know a business owner who would want this? Send it to them.

Most people know NativPott as the food.

Here's the part nobody really sees. A live website. Tracking running underneath it — Meta Pixel, GA4, the whole thing actually reporting back instead of me guessing. A lead form that goes somewhere real instead of just sitting there.

I built all of it myself.

Every small business needs this working underneath it. Most don't have it. Not because it's hard, honestly — just because nobody points out it's missing until you're already losing people to it.

I build this same foundation for small businesses now, through EventProCoach. Website, tracking, the follow-up system behind it. Two weeks, done with you.

Does your website ask before it tracks anyone? Mine waits for a yes.

Thing three of five from the legal side of my own website: a choice on tracking.

If you use analytics or ads, tell people and give them a real choice. On my site, nothing runs until someone taps Accept. Decline, and it stays off. The footer link lets anyone change their mind.

The rules vary by where your visitors are. Quebec's privacy law is stricter: tracking that can identify or profile people has to be off by default. I ask first, for everyone. I'm not a lawyer, so check what applies to you.

Does your site name the tools it uses and let people say no? Send this to someone with a website. Tomorrow: things four and five.

Thing two of five from the legal side of my own website: email rules.

In Canada, commercial email needs three things.

1. Consent. Permission to send it.
2. Identity. Who you are and how to reach you.
3. A working unsubscribe, acted on within 10 business days.

It covers business email too, not just newsletters. I'm not a lawyer, so check your own situation. The Government of Canada's fightspam.gc.ca is the place to start.

Open your last outreach email. Does the footer say who you are and how to reach you, and does it have an unsubscribe link?

Tomorrow: thing three, a choice on tracking. Send this to someone who sends email.

I added Google Analytics to my website. Then I had to rewrite my privacy policy.

This week I'm walking through five things I found while building the legal side of my own website.

Thing one: the privacy policy.

It says what you collect, why you collect it, and who to contact. And it has to match what your site actually does. Mine said I used no analytics.

The day I added tracking, that stopped being true.

Check yours: scroll to the bottom of your site, open the privacy policy, and see if it names the tools you use.

I'm not a lawyer, so check it against your own situation.

Tomorrow: thing two. Send this to someone with a website.

New topic this week: the legal side of your website. I built mine this month, and I didn't know half of this was a thing.

Here's a ten-second check. Scroll to the bottom of your website.

1. Do you see a Privacy Policy link?
2. If you collect names or emails anywhere, and a contact form counts, you should have a page that says what you collect, why, and who to contact.

If it's missing, that's fix number one.

All week I'm walking through five things a small business site should have. I'm not a lawyer, I'm sharing what I found while building my own and where to double-check.

Does your site have a privacy policy? Tell me below, no judgment.

Closing out money week. Quick recap, three things.

One, revenue isn't profit. A big sales day can still be a losing day if it cost more than it brought in.

Two, separate accounts, even just two basic ones at the same bank, means you can actually calculate both numbers instead of guessing.

Three, track the value that isn't cash yet too, credit, partnerships, anything that quietly expires if you forget it's there.

Still learning all of this properly myself, right now, not pretending I had it figured out before this week started.

Monday, new topic, what every small business website legally needs to have. I'm telling that one from a mistake I actually made myself.

Follow so you don't miss it.

Money lesson three this week, and it's one most people don't even think about.

I have credit from a business partnership, real value I can actually spend with other businesses. Not cash in my account, not revenue either, but still real business value sitting there.

If you don't track something like that, it just sits unused. You forget about it, it expires, and that's money you genuinely had and never used.

So now I think about three things, not two. Revenue, profit, and any real value to the business that hasn't touched my bank account yet.

Do you have something like that sitting somewhere right now? Comment below, I actually want to know.

Yesterday: revenue isn't profit. Here's the connection I didn't say out loud yet, you can't actually calculate either one if your money's all mixed together.

If personal spending and business income live in the same account, revenue and profit both disappear into the noise. You can't isolate what came in, and you definitely can't isolate what's left after real costs.

Separate accounts fix that cleanly. Revenue becomes just what hit that account. Profit becomes what's left after real business costs. Nothing to untangle.

What's one money habit you had to unlearn? Comment below, I actually want to know.

New topic this week: Money.

Revenue is everything that comes in.

Profit is what's actually left after you pay for everything it cost to make that sale happen, the food, the gas, the staff, all of it.

A business can have a huge sales day and still lose money on it, if the cost was higher than what came in.

I'm learning this properly right now, through a program I'm in, not pretending I had it all figured out before.

What's one money thing you wish someone had explained to you sooner?

Tell me below.
