We stopped by The Mint today in CLT to see the Caravaggio exhibit and found out that the cinematography for REM’s “Losing My Religion” music video was inspired by Caravaggio’s works. 🤯 We also saw a (surprise) Warhol, the world’s smallest Degas, some beautiful textiles, two Georgia O’Keeffes, a magnificent ✨sparkling✨ portrait of Nina Simone, along with many other works by amazing artists. The @gigi4perez show at the Fillmore in CLT last night was such an amazing experience. All her fans were so nice and inclusive and I met so many amazing people. Just a group of warm and welcoming (mostly women, obvs) people singing along to her extraordinary songs. It reminded me of the @joan_osborne show I saw in 97? 98? at the House of blues on Sunset.
