For the record, I play all the different instruments on all of my records and have been working that way since 1996!

I set up my own label ‘Studio Confession’ in 1999 as a way to explore all the different styles of music that I loved. I produce all of my records from start to finish from my home studio and being an independent artist meant that I had to teach myself how to play every instrument I didn’t already know, so that I could be as free and fluid and expressive as I wanted to be as an musician without any limitations. I’ve released around 50 to 60 albums on my own label to date.

I started playing Drums and Piano at the age of 3/4 before going on to learn both the Trombone and Trumpet by the age of 10. That was the beginning and the teachings that started me on my way 🎺

My spirit is still full from being with the students at Gunsaulus. The sons and daughters of our world are an inspiration. We have to cherish them always. Also. We have to fight for their futures as well as our own. How special we all are but I thank God for the babies. They brighten my world. What an amazing birthday.
