a few years ago, i had a story idea and decided to try to write a screenplay.

i am so incredibly grateful to @youngarts for giving me the opportunity last week to share that screenplay, “Nepenthe”, with such an incredible group of artists. thank you especially to my readers @kurnsundaram and @lmwiserr for helping me bring this to life, and to everyone and anyone else who has supported me throughout this process!! 🫀 by @everettemlang

i spent the past week surrounded by some of the most talented and supportive artists i’ve ever crossed paths with. every night, i went to bed feeling incredibly inspired by the beautiful people around me, who each brought something uniquely moving to the table and continuously reminded me why i love the arts so much.

there’s truly no way to describe just how special and transformative this program has been for me. huge thank you to @lanemichaelstanley for your support, advice, and mentorship, and to @clivechang and team for making all of this possible.

i’m leaving not only with deep gratitude for each connection i made, but with a reinvigorated love for my crafts that i’ll carry with me throughout my career. i’ve formed relationships with the kindest and most gifted people across every discipline- the support network i’ve become a part of is truly one of a kind, and i feel so humbled to be a lifetime member of this special community as i continue to pursue a career in the arts. 💫❤️ by @everettemlang
