these past three years have been a LOT for my little family. i think i posted a bit about it at the beginning, but then it just got to be a lot to hold & i stopped sharing over here. everglow handmade was my little safe place where i could be in my little bubble making art & only worry about that for a few minutes.

since then i have wanted to share our story & most of all, our ✨GOOD NEWS✨. but where to begin? it was sooo much & i couldn’t possibly fit everything in a little instagram post. and i still can’t, but this segment does a pretty darn good job of getting a lot of it & has been so special for my fam & i.

may is brain tumor awareness month! brain tumors are horrible. only 4% of cancer research is dedicated to pediatric research, only 4% is dedicated to our future!

inspired by @bydylanm to do a sketchbook tour. i think this is the first sketchbook i’ve ever completed without a 5 year gap in between!!

i’ve loved dylan’s work & she has inspired me to get into sketch booking. before this, everything i made would go straight to print, my standards were low (and i try to keep them there!) and i made no time for fun. but it’s been a lot of fun to spend time making things for just myself & now if i don’t play in my sketchbook every week i get very grumpy lol.

this sketchbook took 15 months for me to fill. i didn’t want to post it because i was scared it’s the only one i’ll ever finish, and also because #vulnerable. but it’s fun to look back on it if you don’t take it too seriously!!

this year, i want to start making some more repeat patterns & try to get into licensing. hope you see some of that come to life in the future!

happy 2 year anniversary to one of the best couples i know!! 2 years out & i’m finally ready to share these pics with the world, what a dreamy wedding!!

it was an honor to bring do the stationery some of my favorite people in the world. i did the invites, which feature a custom painting that i did based on the ~feel & vibe~ of them & their special day. i also did the signage for the day-of, which included place cards, menus, & general signage for the day. it was a dream to put it all together with them & to see it come alive.

you can see a few pics of my fam & babies, they were just 9 months & a 3 1/2 year old ring bearer.

it’s BRAIN TUMOR AWARENESS month!!

my 5 year old son is 2.5 years out from his big brain surgery and doing sooo well. he is on a lot of meds, but he is thriving and doing better than we could have ever hoped for (thank you god!)

he was lucky to have an advanced surgery which was the result of amazing drs (i’m looking at @dr.jfm ) pushing new technologies and doing research to get the best outcomes for their patients

i want this for everyone with a brain tumor, especially those kids! pediatric cancer research is severely underfunded, please join the fight and help me in supporting @rawoodfound this month with a donation

i have 20 sets of greeting cards left to sell from last year, $40 each! so far we have raised $1,775 from the sales of these cards & other brain tumor stickers. let’s get that number to $2,000 this month!!

i spent two full days focused on painting last week. i can get so caught up in shipping orders & admin work, so it was a huge treat to just paint & make!
