For years, I thought keeping everyone happy meant I was being kind.

Meanwhile, I was exhausted, resentful and quietly wondering why nobody seemed to notice I was running on empty.

Turns out, sometimes protecting your peace means someone else isn't going to be thrilled with your decision.

And that's okay.

You don't have to explain yourself into exhaustion just because someone doesn't like your boundary.

They'll survive.

And so will you.

Growing up is one thing.
Evolving is another.

Sometimes the hardest things to leave behind aren't the things we hated.

They're the lifestyles, habits and versions of ourselves we knew well.

The ones we actually enjoyed.
The ones that once brought us joy.

And that's what makes growing uncomfortable.

Because eventually you realise...
What used to make you happy isn't always what's good for the woman you're becoming.

And if something keeps pulling you away from the better version of you, sometimes it's gotta go.

Doesn't mean you won't miss it.
Doesn't mean it'll always feel good.

It simply means you've grown enough to know the difference.

That's evolving.

It all began with a friend asking me one simple question.

“What makes you happy?”

My answer was simple...

Making other people feel good.

Somehow, that answer led me to candles.

In 2018, I started pouring here in NZ as Enlighten Me Creations. Then came a break, a whole lot of life, and eventually Everlucent.

Looking back, maybe that question was one of my first Breadcrumbs.

The business has changed. I’ve changed.

But the heart behind it hasn’t.
Creating something that makes someone feel good.

Hand poured in NZ.

Forever Becoming.
