This is my feed, I am the niche!

Friend to friend, don’t waste time trying to scale yourself down just to fit in a box that’s way for small for all of the wonderful things that you are.

If you are a content creator on the gram I’m sure you have heard this. Niche down! People should know you for one or two things only. The algorithm favours a tailored niche. Stick to baking, pies specifically. Stick to homeschooling, tutorials and curriculum only. You need to be a go to spot for one main topic. Just share one thing and watch your follower count grow!!

Of course this makes sense if you are a business specifically, or if this space is passion + hobby project, but what about the rest of us??

You know what I love? A whole person. A well rounded life. An encouraging friend and a warm hug. So that’s what I am sharing here. 👋

Hot take of the day: If you show people who you are, the right people will stick around and that’s how you find your tribe. 💛 by @evermorelong

[#AD] Friend to friend, even though I am in the kitchen every day I still felt intimidated by an espresso machine. I somehow thought it would be too difficult for me. My goodness how wrong I was.

I have been using this Espresso Machine from @homcom_ca by @aosom_ca and I just love it so much. It came ready to use right out of the box, and after just a few minutes reading the manual I was up and making coffee just like that.

It fits well on my counter, has an auto shut off in case I forget, easy to use buttons, and the addition of a milk frother for steamed milk or just hot water is perfect.

We use it every day.

If you are looking for one of your own, My code LESLIE15 will save you 15% at Aosom.ca

Find it at the link in my bio. 👋👌

Just a little bit spooky, children’s book picks, PART 2.

We broke out the Halloween bins yesterday and it’s starting to feel delightfully spooky now.

Sharing a few more fun book picks that are more recent finds to us and so wonderful this season.

🧺 Letters from the Witch, Cackle Cackle (scooped this up at our local bookstore so fast. I think it’s a bit too spooky for my 5 year old but the 8 + 12 liked it so much)
🧺 Witch Spa Boo La La (big hit with Miss 5 )
🧺 Millie Fleur’s Pumpkin Problem
🧺 The Witches Supermarket
🧺 Millie Fleur Saves the Night
🧺 The Witches of Anderson House, The Great Dragon Escape

I try to link most of my children’s book recommendations at the link in my bio, but I always suggest checking for them at your local library first ✌️ 📚 by @evermorelong

My goodness the ‘ber months are just flying by.
Somehow this weekend is Thanksgiving already, and to my absolute delight I will be cooking for a houseful of people.

I spent a good chunk of the day cleaning and reorganizing and planning things out. Now the most important part, the pies!!

How many pies do you think is enough for 14 people?? (Let’s keep in mind there absolutely needs to be leftovers and pieces to send home …) 😅

On the menu:
Pumpkin pie
Chocolate pie squares
Apple pie
maybe lemon??

We shall see by @evermorelong
