im posting on behalf of Iman and Mohammed Al-Nabih and their two sons Samir and Adam in Gaza. They have been living through the worst conditions imaginable and struggling with health problems that are costly to treat. They’ve been displaced countless times and they were recently able to rent a room with their in laws to be out of the elements but now they have to evacuate yet again. They are at risk every time they leave to buy food and are truly living through hell on earth. Donations have really slowed and they’re really struggling. Anything you can give, even $5, is a huge help and even if you can’t donate but share amongst your network and on your socials, I know that would mean the world to the family. https://chuffed.org/project/al-nabihfamily

grateful beyond words for every single person who has shown up for the community & given their time, their energy, money & items. thank you to the @inkcarteltattooco for your support & making the valentines day food drive an incredible success.

i don’t normally take pictures during outreach but i wanted to just share a little of what we’ve been able to accomplish with all of the help we’ve received- we’ve distributed clothes, gloves, hats & socks, non perishable groceries, snacks, etc as well as dozens of hot meals since 2/14.

to every single person who’s shown up to support these mutual aid efforts, im infinitely grateful for you. community is everything and the community showed up💌

also ANYONE can do this! get together with your friends, cook some meals, and do a food distro💌

Iman and her family have been living through unimaginable horrors for the past two years. Her, her husband Mohammed and their two kids Adam and Samir have been forcefully displaced countless times, forced to pitch a tent in all types of weather conditions without proper relief from the heat or the cold. This has led to multiple health problems for this family due to heatstroke and the lack of a proper place to sleep… plus the constant danger & noise of drones & bombs , this is on top of having basically no access to healthy foods & medical care! Everything is so expensive that it’s nearly impossible to buy food- and the only income this family has right now is donations they receive!! Samir has an autoimmune disorder and he has been hospitalized multiple times due to malnutrition. The doctors are telling Iman he needs access to healthy foods but everything is so expensive. Imagine paying hundreds of dollars for something as simple as a bag of flour!!!! mutual aid updateeee💌
as of today, we’ve served over 800 meals ! we’ve been going strong with food serves at the transit center for the past several months ! just about every Tuesday we’ve been out between 4:30 and 6:30 pm with 50-60 cooked meals, waters & groceries and sometimes clothes and medical supplies. we took a little step back for the summer to regroup & recenter & we’re getting back to it even bigger and better as winter approaches.

if you have clothes, shoes, hats etc you’d like to donate, if you’d like to contribute $ towards purchasing groceries/ snacks, or if you’d like to cook with us or know of anyone who’d like to help out, or would just like to come through say hi hang out & get dinner reach out💚

it’s been so amazing to see the community show up time and again💌 everybody’s welcome to join us in our mutual aid distros and most importantly if you’d like to start up something like this with your friends all it takes is getting together and deciding to take action!! autonomous action by the community for the community >>>>>
