I’ve recently joined CoMMLab (ETSE, Universitat de València) and am truly thankful for the chance to work alongside their talented team. This month has been an incredible learning experience, and I’m excited about the innovative work we’re doing together.

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce the demo of #SciBlend! A tool I’ve developed over the past few weeks in CoMMLab under the supervision of Ignacio García Fernández to easily import animations from #Paraview to #Blender.

Since there’s no native method for this task, SciBlend now allows us to import our simulations and scientific results from #Paraview into #Blender in just a few clicks.

It’s perfect for utilizing the full power of #EEVEE to view simulations in real-time and rendering photorealistic results using the powerful #Cycles engine. The results speak for themselves!

SciGraphs is now a Blender Extension!!! ⚛️ (https://extensions.blender.org/add-ons/scigraphs/)

SciGraphs brings network analysis and visualization into Blender. You load a network (an abstract one, the street map of a city, a sparse matrix, whatever you have) and it becomes a real Blender object. The analysis runs inside Blender too, so things like centrality or community structure and many more come back as attributes you can drive colour, size and motion with. The result isn’t a flat picture of a graph. It’s a scene, with cameras, lighting, materials and everything else Blender gives you. Graphs can be animated too, with a single file carrying the structure, the motion and the look together, as you can see in the demo.

It covers both sides of the field: abstract networks laid out with the classic algorithms, and spatial ones that already carry their own coordinates, from geospatial data to urban morphology!

SciGraphs also adds a render engine built specifically for graph visualization, which makes a kind of interactive visualization possible that you simply can’t build in any other framework.

Installing it is two clicks from inside Blender: Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions, search for SciGraphs. Updates arrive the same way.

And I’ll be presenting it at the Blender Conference (Amsterdam) on September 24th. Looking forward to that one enormously!!

What a week in Milan! 🇮🇹

I had a great time at VPH 2026, the 9th International Conference on the Virtual Physiological Human, presenting “Predicting Hemodynamics from Aortic Geometry”, where we build an AI surrogate model that predicts wall shear stress and pressure on the thoracic aortic wall from just geometric features of the wall and the inlet velocity, achieving very fast predictions.

Next stop: CinC 2026 in Madrid, 20–23 September, with “Shape-Driven Surrogate Modeling of Thoracic Aortic Hemodynamics”.

I presented SciGraphs for the first time and there was a lot of people interested!!

+ also been developing some VR exploration in Blender even tho the current API is really basic. Great results and UX so far 🎉 by @evervisuals

I’ve been working really hard on my next project “SciGraphs: Graph Visualization and Analysis within Blender” and wanted to share some demos!

This feels absolutely surreal to write. For the past eight years, I’ve religiously followed the Blender Conference online, dreaming of one day being able to attend in person. Just being in the audience would have been a dream come true.

What I never, ever imagined was that my first time there would be as a SPEAKER.

This is MINDBLOWING. I’m incredibly honored to announce that I’ll be attending the Blender Conference this year to present my work, “SciBlend: Advanced data visualization workflows within Blender”, which was accepted into the Computers & Graphics journal last month. I’m beyond excited!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported my work from the very beginning. This feels like the ultimate reward, and I couldn’t have done it without you. 😭❤️
