JOY. 💜

Still smiling watching this back. We really turned this into a dance party 🥹

3 years ago I just wanted to dance and now I have a whole community because of it.

My third birthday dance video. I had this idea to turn it into a dance party/music video, and we made it happen. My younger self would be screaming!!

I grew up in Kampala, but my roots are in Sisumo Village, Busia District 🇺🇬. So shoutout to my people!!

Choreo: @msjam8 thank you for bringing this idea to life! The choreo, the energy, and the space to just explore movement.

Film & Edit: @crickvisuals you never miss! Thank you!

Song: Morocco by @itsjoshuabaraka @shenseea

Thank you to EveryONE who showed up for this. 💜

Happy Halloween 🤗

P.S. I was home by 10pm lol. by @everybody_ug

My favorite way to decompress when life gets overwhelming is taking myself on an all-day solo movie marathon! Was up early and out of the house around 9:45 am and my first movie started at 10:30 am.

Here are my ratings for the movies I watched.

Resident Evil. 3.5/5: I love a horror movie that blends comedy into it. But that ending? 😭

Sense and Sensibility. 4.2/5: Easily my favorite of the day. I love when a romantic movie depicts yearning so beautifully. Also, the soundtrack is incredible.

Street Fighter . 2/5: Not bad, had some funny moments, and I enjoyed the fight choreography, but it just wasn’t for me.

Sprinkle in an adventure at House of Spells and the street fair outside, and that’s a pretty good day. I’ve found that taking a pause when life feels like a lot really helps. by @everybody_ug

Loved putting this recap together from Sunday’s plus size heels class. We had so much fun. 🥹

I had a chance to talk with folks before class and a lot of us are on a self love journey, pouring more into ourselves and connecting with our bodies. We were also honest about how scary it is to try out new things or even go to classes where we don’t see bodies like ours represented. So it was really nice to have this space to explore movement together.

Huge thank you to everybody who showed up especially when it felt a little bit scary.

Thanks again to @af.rys @dancewithanafer for leading the class and reminding us to take up as much space as we can. 💜

November class details to drop soon 🤗

Throwback to the New York Renaissance Fair last year 💛. This video always makes me laugh. We had such a good time! by @everybody_ug

This walk and listening to my new favorite song really helped clear my head and shift my energy. Sometimes you really do just need to go outside. 🤗

I also can’t stop laughing because the people who walked behind me made sure to turn their faces away so they wouldn’t be in the video. I fully respect that, but it was funny. 🤣 by @everybody_ug
