As a professional organizer, there are a few things I’ve noticed we do that most people would think are… a little strange. But they’re also the reason our homes feel lighter, calmer, and easier to move through.

We unpack our bags the moment we get home
No “I’ll do it later.” Later quietly turns into never.
Resetting right away keeps life from piling up.
We stop clutter before it enters
Junk mail, packaging, extra paper—it doesn’t make it past the door.

Anyone remember these?

I would flip through US magazine in the check out line or poolside and thought the segment where stars would do the most mundane tasks-like crossing the street or tying their shoes-was ridiculous.

But you know what's ridiculous?!? Thinking that organizers have 100% perfect homes alllll the time.

soooooo I wanted to share that we're just like you!

The one thing we may have in our back pocket is that our homes can get messy BUT they are easy to put back into shape, because everything has a home.
