So I did a thing! Proud to be a new owner of the @twiistdiabetes insulin pump! It’s been over 2.5 years of being on MDI and it was great giving my body a break, but lately my control has slipped, and I was tired of it. So when this pump announced that it was pairing up with @eversensecgm I had to jump on it. It’s been only a few hours but the tech is crazy

Every 5 minutes, twiist Loop builds a 6 hour glucose forecast using my CGM readings, insulin on board, and carb history, then automatically adjusts my basal to match. It’s not reacting to where my glucose is, it’s predicting where it’s going.

Pretty cool. I shall keep you updated 🥲 taken in Texas by @everyday_t1d

First full day repoing the Eversense CGM without anything covering the sensor insertion spot ☺️ so far so good! I’m really excited to see how this compares to other CGMs!!! taken in Texas by @everyday_t1d

POV: you forgot what a sensor change feels like… Eversense 365 on the arm, Twiist handling the dosing. Honestly the least I’ve thought about diabetes in years. (Except for when I accidentally yank out my site because I’m clumsy.. 😅) taken in Dallas, Texas by @everyday_t1d

Some things don’t need to come off when the water turns on. 💧 With Eversense 365, you have the choice: keep your removable Smart Transmitter on while you shower, or take it off** and put it back on when you’re done.

Some things just don’t last. But your CGM can! Eversense 365 lasts a year, so replacing your CGM can be one less thing on your to-do list.

A lot secure. A little gentle. The Eversense 365 silicone-based adhesive is designed to keep the transmitter securely in place—even when life gets a little bumpy—while still being gentle on skin.

10 years ago I created Everyday_T1D. I’d been living with diabetes for 18 years at that point, and I needed somewhere to put the wins, the struggles, all of it. I felt alone and just needed an outlet.

This is the first photo I posted with a new pump. Swipe to see the most recent one. It’s wild what 10 years changes.(tech and me)

Some good days, plenty of hard ones I almost didn’t share. But every time I posted the version that wasn’t a highlight reel, you showed up for me. Made me feel like I wasn’t alone. Thank you for that, and for following along on this wild journey.

28 years living with diabetes. 10 of them shared out loud, with a community that made it feel like a lot less of a solo project.

Here’s to ten more.

What year did you start following along? by @everyday_t1d

My pump isn’t waterproof, so it comes off before I get in the water. No pump means no basal insulin the whole time it’s off, so it’s not as simple as disconnecting and jumping in.

Before I disconnect, I check my blood sugar and give myself a manual dose to cover the basal(usually 50% of what my basal is) I’ll be missing while it’s off, so I’ve got some insulin on board instead of nothing.

Everyone else gets today off. But diabetes doesn’t.

*Not medical advice, just what’s worked for me. Talk to your own care team about your own numbers. Once I’m done I reconnect check my blood sugar and resume life as normal ☺️ taken in Texas by @everyday_t1d

With Eversense 365, flexibility is part of the routine. ✨

Remove* and reapply your Smart Transmitter when needed—without replacing your sensor. Because your CGM should fit into your life, not the other way around.
