Thank you everyone for coming out for Ril’s Bougie Book Signing at @auntsetuncles. It was a beautiful time with beautiful people. @nicnich you are a TRUE Chef and I am so honored to have experienced your brilliance first hand with this collaboration. @shoottasteexplorecookbook is this type of event in a hardcover CoffeeTable Cookbook. Offering you so many amazing experiences in Brooklyn. For anyone looking to purchase the cookbook and try the sandwich… I may pop up one more time next month… and for “Rich Spirit” (that is what I’m calling Nicole’s vegan creation) I can’t answer that BUT highly suggest going to AU and asking for it. 🙌🏽🫶🏽🙌🏽🫶🏽 by @everydaybktv

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 19th! 7pm @auntsetuncles I will be hosting the last Ril’s Bougie Book Signing event in the tour (for now) and collaborating with @nicnich on a fabulous Vegan remix of the signature Grilled Cheese PB&J incorporating a specially made FIG JAM of her own creation. Y’ALL!! it’s so cozy and delightful.

And for everyone who purchases a book a jar of the fig jam comes with it, as a gift from Aunts et Uncles.

Shoot Taste Explore CoffeeTable Cookbook is more than a cookbook. It’s a tribute to creativity, Brooklyn and what could happen when you explore the fullness of community. Can’t wait to see you!! RSVP LINK IN THE BIO by @everydaybktv

The UMM HMM’s have it!! Thank you guys for coming out to Ril’s Bougie Book Signing for @shoottasteexplorecookbook first tour stop! Genuine reactions are the greatest testimony and as you can see it was a hit. I love how everyone explains how shockingly delicious this combo actually is. “Ion usually like peanut butter but this was great” “I hate coconut but this was amazing” “thank you for opening me up to new possibilities with this snack”. May you all be blessed. No one was paid to say this. Thank you! Organizing this was work but well rewarded. Thank you @lifewellnessbk for your partnership and friendship. I believe in your mission and will continue to support you and your efforts. NOTICE: I’m going to postpone the 11/11 date because I have enough books for one more of these events and more people RSVP’d for the 19th. by @everydaybktv

“Find your garden” and “Do the work”. When I was at Queen Afua’s house we did a meditation where I had to mentally build a garden and make it how I wanted it to be. I imagined a low lying array of every imaginable flower arranged in neat little boxes with a shiny black onyx Buddha statue sitting in a fountain.

When @cmnwlth.j said “find your garden” my heart exploded. Ade, the silent force behind @lifewellnessbk, followed with “be committed to self” and confirmed the serendipitous experience for me. @iloveblackmenirl because I feel strongly about the success of our communities relying on the health of black men improving. Highlighting the men doing healing work is my way of supporting that agenda.

Jamil Smith Founder of The CMN|WLTH bio states, “My role is to guide you in your return to inner harmony, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being, in-tune with our true Nature so that we can realize our destinies, uninhibited.”

Ade Collman LAT & LMT , Co-Founder of Life Wellness recognizes that people manifest ailments and pain due to blockage both physically and emotionally which can ultimately imprison a person’s body. But through touch therapy, Ade assists his clients in reconnecting with their bodies and beginning a healing process.

For me the intention is purely to show the entire world that 1) it doesn’t take much to show love 2) black men deserve flowers without occasion and 3) the resources for healing are present and ready to serve. Ya’ll just gotta show up.

Thank you @khadijahandsproject for inspiring this video series (I will be making more of these) as I was stressing out about events (I’ll update yall later on that) and supporting this mission both by operating Life Wellness in integrity, love and compassion and being a true friend to me.

Life Wellness is an oasis in a concrete jungle. May you be blessed everyday. @shoottasteexplorecookbook is proud to present this Brooklyn business and others like it to the world through its pages and will be inviting you all to meet the book and the businesses in the days to come. Specifically 11/7 and 11/11. Stay tuned. by @everydaybktv
