Breathe with me...

This is a poem from Making Love with This: a book of poetry. If you just absolutely loved it and would like to get your own copy of what is essentially a handbook for making love with your life...

One of my very favorite things is being able to make love with everything.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Who has experienced a foodgasm like this?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’d love to hear about it!⁣⁣

This morning, a dragon greeted me in the sky.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then the houses started telling me stories. The lampposts whispered. A dumpster became romantic. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Come wander with me…⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I wrote about the magical experience of a simple walk in my neighborhood…and what happens when fully dropped into the experience of making love with life.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The full piece is now on Substack. Link in bio.

I love a good audio book. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Someone reading to me without having to get carsick or tired. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I usually have several going at the same time, though definitely get sucked in with a series and leave the others behind. That’s what’s happening with Dungeon Crawler Carl.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Here are my current/most recent.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
📚 Dungeon Crawler Carl series (I’m in book 5. Totally hooked!)⁣⁣⁣
📚 A Court of Thorns and Roses (Second time! I’m in book 4, listening with GG. Epic and sexy!)⁣⁣⁣
📚 Battle of the Linguist Mages (WOW! And, I’m going to read it again as a hard copy)⁣⁣⁣
📚 Harry Potter Full Cast (Book 1 - I loved Jim Dale’s. This one is really intriguing. It’s read with ASMR in the background. I think I like it.)⁣⁣⁣
📚 Piranesi (Amazing book. I started out with a hard copy because it helped me organize my mind around it, then finished with audio, then read the end again.)⁣⁣⁣
📚 The Naming Song (Only the 1st chapter, so far. I want to listen to it again already, just to feel it. I’m going to take my time with this one and savor.)⁣⁣⁣
📚 Mistborn series (Finished this on this year. Epic. So glad I finally dove into Brandon Sanderson)⁣⁣⁣
📚 Gideon the Ninth (second time. I want to do it again before I continue the series. I love it)⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Must Listens that I nearly always recommend:⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
📚 American Gods, full cast edition⁣⁣⁣
📚 The Night Circus⁣⁣⁣
📚 The Starless Sea⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
What are your all-time favorite listens?⁣⁣

I don’t know yet where I stand on AI.

I don’t use it for my writing. Don’t even like it as an editor. It’s already trying to correct the grammar of this paragraph. Blech.

Perhaps it’s a homogenizing beast that usurps art and the humanity in it. Perhaps it will destroy capitalism. Perhaps it will build robots and make us into batteries.

Maybe it will be a new incredible wizardry...

So, I’ve decided to explore Substack. I like the explicitness that happens there. The ability to explore ideas deeper. The conversations. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I like the way it organizes my mind, with the bazillion topics I could include there, organized in cute little sections. I like the way it inspires me to write more freely. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Censorship weighs on me. Even when I’m not writing about sx or ecstasy or other things that might disturb this platform, the restriction binds me in some way. I’m less likely to do anything at all. There’s less of that on Substack, too.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Oh, I’ll still be here! With my upcoming events and random tidbits. And, I plan to post the juicy stuff, the deeper stuff, over there. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This is your invitation to join me. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
To entice you, I’ll be posting a 4-part series there on “How to Literally Make Love with Your Life” over the next several days. ⁣⁣⁣(The first one is already there waiting for you.)
⁣⁣⁣
Sound fun? It is.⁣

We’ve officially announced our August movie: The Map of Tiny Perfect Things!⁣
⁣
We love the sweetness and beauty in this story. (And I mean...obviously we wouldn’t be featuring a movie we didn’t absolutely love.)⁣
⁣
If you haven’t seen it, we highly recommend it. ⁣
⁣
And if you’d like to watch it the way we watch it…⁣
