THE BOOK OF TITUS ONE (Part 4)
Date: October 19th, 2026.
Written By: Precious Luke.
Text: Titus 1:1–16

Topic: Faithfulness to Christ’s Divine Assignment

Today’s Verse: “I am writing to Titus, my true son in the faith that we share. May God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior give you grace and peace. I left you on the island of Crete so you could complete our work there and appoint elders in each town as I instructed you.” (Titus 1:4–5 (NLT)

Message:
Previously, in verse 3, we saw that God revealed His message at the appointed time through the preaching entrusted to Paul. This shows us that the gospel was part of God’s eternal purpose, now made known through Jesus Christ. Being entrusted with this message is both a privilege and a responsibility.

Then, verses 4–5 further tell us about Paul’s relationship with Titus and the assignment he received. Paul called Titus his true son in the faith they shared. Their relationship was built on their common faith in Christ and commitment to the gospel. Paul also prayed for grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus, reminding us that we need God’s grace to fulfil our assignments faithfully.

Paul left Titus in Crete to complete the work and appoint elders in every town. This shows us that ministry involves more than preaching; it also includes establishing believers and raising godly leaders to care for the church. As Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19–20, making disciples is part of our responsibility.

As believers, we must be faithful to whatever Christ has entrusted to us. Our goal is not to build our own names but to see Christ revealed in people’s lives and His church established in truth. We must remain committed until the work is completed.

Reflection: “Faithfulness to Christ means fulfilling His assignment, strengthening others, and establishing His truth for future generations.”

Prayer: “Lord Jesus, strengthen me by Your grace to faithfully fulfil my assignment and build others in truth.”

THE BOOK OF TITUS ONE (Part 3)
Date: October 13th, 2026
Written By: Precious Luke
Text: Titus 1:1–16

Topic: Entrusted by God to Proclaim His Eternal Truth.

Today’s Text: “And now at just the right time he has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone. It is by the command of God our Savior that I have been entrusted with this work for him.” (‭‭Titus‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Message:
Previously, Paul explained that he was a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, appointed to strengthen the faith of God’s people and lead them into the knowledge of the truth that produces godliness. In verse 2, he also spoke of the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the world began.

Continuing in verse 3, Paul explains that God has now revealed His message at the appointed time. This shows that the gospel was not an afterthought in God’s plan but part of His eternal purpose, now made known through Jesus Christ. The God who promised eternal life has revealed His salvation through the gospel.

Paul further acknowledges that he was entrusted with the responsibility of proclaiming this message by the command of God our Savior. He did not invent the message or preach his own ideas; he was commissioned by God to announce His truth to the world. This reveals the seriousness and privilege of being entrusted with the gospel.

As believers, we too have the privilege and responsibility of making Christ known. We must faithfully proclaim the truth of the gospel, the salvation found in Christ, and the hope of eternal life without altering God’s message to suit human preferences. The gospel belongs to God, and our responsibility is to faithfully share His truth with others.

Reflection: “God entrusts believers with His eternal truth to faithfully proclaim Christ and the hope of salvation.”

Prayer: “Father, help us faithfully proclaim Christ’s gospel and preserve the truth of eternal life entrusted to us. Amen.”

THE BOOK OF TITUS ONE (Part 2)
Date: October 10th, 2026
Written By: Precious Luke
Text: Titus 1:1–16

Topic: The Truth Guarantees Our Eternal Life.

Today’s Text: “This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began.” — Titus 1:2 (NLT)

Message:
Previously, in verse 1, we saw that Paul was appointed to serve God’s people and lead them into the knowledge of the truth that produces godliness. In verse 2, he further explains that this truth gives believers confidence that they have eternal life. This truth is not merely any religious teaching or human opinion; it is the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, through which God reveals His purpose of salvation.

Paul says this truth gives us confidence in our eternal life. This means our assurance of eternal life comes from the gospel, not from human opinions, personal achievements, or religious efforts. The gospel reveals what God has accomplished for us in Christ and assures everyone who believes in Him of the life He gives. Therefore, our confidence rests in Christ and His finished work, not in our ability to earn eternal life.

Paul further establishes this assurance in God’s unchanging character, declaring that He does not lie. God is the origin and giver of eternal life, and His faithfulness guarantees that His promise remains trustworthy. Since God cannot lie, believers can confidently rely on what He has promised in Christ.

Finally, this promise was made before the world began. Eternal life was never God’s afterthought; it was part of His eternal purpose, established before creation and revealed through Christ. Therefore, we must remain grounded in the true gospel, because our assurance rests on God’s faithful promise, not human effort or false teachings.

Reflection: “Our assurance of eternal life rests in Christ, whose gospel reveals God’s faithful and unchanging promise.”

Prayer: “Father, thank You for Your faithful promise of eternal life, established in Christ and revealed through the true gospel. Amen.”

‎THE BOOK OF TITUS ONE (Part 1)
‎Date: October 9th, 2026
‎Written By: Precious Luke
‎Text: Titus 2:1–16
‎
‎Topic: A Slave of God, Sent by Christ.
‎
‎Today’s Verse: “This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to proclaim faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives.” (Titus 1:1NLT)
‎
‎Message:
‎
‎Paul describes himself as a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ (Titus 1:1). As a slave of God, Paul recognised that his life belonged to God. He was not living to fulfil his personal ambitions but to serve God’s will. Being a slave meant complete submission to his Master, allowing God’s purpose to direct his life and service.
‎
‎As an apostle of Jesus Christ, Paul was someone sent with a specific assignment. He did not appoint himself or choose his message. Christ commissioned him to preach the gospel and make Him known. His authority came from the One who sent him, and his responsibility was to remain faithful to that calling.
‎
‎Paul explains that he was sent to proclaim the faith of God’s chosen people and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness. In other words, his ministry was to make the gospel known so that people would believe the truth and understand God’s purpose for their lives. This truth is centred on Jesus Christ, through whom God has revealed His saving grace.
‎
‎Paul’s description reminds us that belonging to God means living under His authority, while being sent means carrying out His purpose. Our service is not about promoting ourselves but faithfully making Christ known. The same gospel that brings us to faith in Jesus also teaches us to live in the light of His truth.
‎
‎Reflection: “True service begins when we surrender our lives to God and faithfully carry Christ’s message to others.”
‎
‎Prayer: “Father, help me surrender fully to You and faithfully fulfil my assignment in proclaiming Christ. Amen.”

THE BOOK OF TITUS INTRODUCTION AND CONTEXT SUMMARY.
Date: October 6th 2026.
Written By Precious Luke
Text: Titus chapter 1-2.

BOOK FOCUS: Sound Doctrine, Godly Living, Grace, Good Works, and Christ’s Return.

We have just concluded our study of 2 Peter, where we were reminded of the certainty of Christ’s return, the danger of false teaching, and the call to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This month, we are beginning a new journey through the book of Titus. From chapter one to the end, we will take time to understand what God is revealing through this short but powerful letter and how its truth points us continually to Christ.

Titus was written by the Apostle Paul to his trusted coworker and spiritual son, Titus, who had been left on the island of Crete to help establish and strengthen the churches there. Paul instructed Titus to appoint qualified elders, confront false teachers, and bring order to the churches. The Cretan culture was known for ungodliness and moral disorder, making sound doctrine and godly leadership especially important for the believers.

But Titus is not simply a manual for church administration or good behaviour. At its heart is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul makes it clear that salvation is not something we achieve through our works; it is the gracious work of God, accomplished through Christ, who gave Himself to redeem us and make us His own people. The grace of God that brings salvation also teaches believers to live differently while we wait for Christ’s glorious return.

Throughout this study, we will see the beautiful connection between sound doctrine and transformed living—not as an attempt to earn God’s acceptance, but as the fruit of having received His grace. Titus calls the church to live out the reality of the gospel through leadership, relationships, good works, integrity, and sound faith. As we begin this series, our focus remains Christ: who He is, what He has accomplished for us, and how His grace transforms every area of our lives.

THE BOOK OF 2 PETER THREE (Part 16.)
Date: September 29th, 2026.
Written By: Precious Luke.
Text: 2 Peter 3:1–18.

Topic: Grow In Grace, Know Christ.

Today’s Verse: “Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.” ‭‭(2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Peter closes this letter by bringing us back to what matters: growing in Christ. After warning believers about false teachers, deception, and judgment, he does not leave us focused on fear. He points us to Jesus. The Christian life is about knowing Christ and allowing His grace to shape us every day.

Previously in verse 17, we saw that Peter warned us not to be carried away by error and lose stability. Then verse 18 further says that we must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is the answer to spiritual instability: knowing Jesus and depending on His grace.

Peter says, “grow in the grace and knowledge.” Grace is not something we outgrow; it is where we live. The more we know Christ, the more we understand that our salvation rests on Him, not our performance. As Paul says, “as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to follow him” (Colossians 2:6).

Peter ends with worship: “All glory to him, both now and forever!” Our growth is not about making us look impressive, but making Jesus visible. We are saved by grace, stand by grace, and grow by grace. Let us keep looking to Jesus, trusting Him, and reflecting His life in ours. To Christ alone belongs all glory.

Reflection: “True spiritual growth is measured by deeper knowledge of Christ, not merely outward religious performance.”

Prayer: “Lord Jesus, help me grow in Your grace, know You deeply, and reflect You daily.

THE BOOK OF 2 PETER THREE (Part 15.)
Date: September 25th, 2026.
Written By: Precious Luke.
Text: 2 Peter 3:1–18.

Topic: Stand Firm In Christ’s Truth

Today’s Verse: “You already know these things, dear friends. So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing.” (2 Peter 3:17 NLT)

Message:

Previously in verse 16, we saw Peter speak about Paul’s letters and how some things are hard to understand. He warned that ignorant and unstable people twist the Scriptures. Then verse 17 further says that we must be on guard, because knowing the truth does not automatically keep us from error.

This matters because we live among many voices and interpretations. Peter was not telling believers to become suspicious of everything, but to remain established in what they had learned. Our security is in Christ and the truth of His gospel. Jesus said, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings” (John 8:31).

To be carried away means that something can slowly move us from where we once stood. Error does not always look dangerous; sometimes it sounds convincing. So we must look to Christ and measure every teaching by His Word. We are not called to build our faith on opinions, but on Christ, our sure foundation (1 Corinthians 3:11).

Peter’s warning is a call to remain watchful and grounded. We have received grace through Christ, and false teaching must not make us abandon that confidence. As we continue in His Word, we become less vulnerable to deception through His grace. Our secure footing is found in Christ, and in Him we can stand firm.

Reflection: “Knowing the truth of the gospel deeply helps us recognize error and remain firmly established in Christ.”

Prayer: “Lord Jesus, keep me grounded in Your truth, guarded from deception, and faithful to You until the end.”

THE BOOK OF 2 PETER THREE (Part 14.)
Date: September 24th, 2026.
Written By: Precious Luke.
Text: 2 Peter 3:1–18.

Topic: Handle God’s Word With Care.

Today’s Verse: “speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction.” (2 Peter 3:16 NLT)

Message:
Previously in verse 15, we saw Peter encourage believers to understand Christ’s patience as salvation, just as Paul wrote according to the wisdom given. Then verse 16 further says that Paul spoke about these things in his letters, but some of his writings are hard to understand, and unstable people twist them, just as they do other Scriptures.

This shows us that God’s Word must not be handled carelessly. Some passages require patience, context, and a willing heart. Peter was not saying Paul’s writings were wrong because they were difficult. Rather, he warned that people can distort Scripture when they approach it carelessly. Scripture reveals Christ and leads us into truth (2 Timothy 3:15–17).

The answer is not to avoid difficult passages, but to know Christ more. We must read Scripture in context and let Scripture interpret Scripture. Jesus showed His disciples how Scripture spoke concerning Him (Luke 24:27). We should be humble enough to say, “I do not understand this yet,” instead of forcing the Bible to say what we want.

Peter’s warning is serious because twisting Scripture is dangerous. Let us remain rooted in Christ, grounded in His truth, and willing to learn. As we grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), our understanding of His Word becomes deeper and more faithful.

Reflection: “God’s Word deserves careful handling, because misunderstanding Scripture can lead us away from the truth.”

Prayer: “Lord Jesus, keep me humble, teachable, and grounded in truth as I study Your Word.”
