Listen, I know we have work, laundry, emails, dinner, bills and 50 eleven other things that need to get done. 😂

But sometimes I’m going to choose the outing. I’m going to move some things around, leave the dishes in the sink and figure the rest out later.

Not because I think my kids should always come before me. I actually think it’s important for them to see me take care of myself too.

But I am responsible for a big part of the childhood they’ll remember.

And when they’re grown, I don’t think I’m going to wish I answered more emails. I’m probably going to wish I had one more random Tuesday with them. 🥹

So yes, sometimes I’m willing to inconvenience my adult life to make their childhood a good one.

Apparently you guys like turkey meat 😂. Hi to all the new faces. My name is Khay. My friends call me mama Khay. I’m probably somewhere planning a cute get together that I’ll want to DIY things for.

I like long walks in Home Goods, creating home systems that actually work, and homeschooling my little scholars.

Cooking is my way of creating art so I’m in my kitchen a lot too. Why are these kids hungry every 5 minutes 🫠

I love to start my day with a good movement session , protein, coffee and Christ. Sometimes not in that order 😂

And my goal is to land some UGC deals so that I can better support my beautiful family and give to others without restriction. I love helping people. I’m a helpaholic. Soooo I hope you stick around as I figure it all out in real time in this little corner of the internet. ☺️

I could kiss the mom who shared this tip. My kids go through bursts where all they want is a simple turkey & mayo sandwich. I was dropping $$$ each week on the prepackaged version. So when I saw this hack I knew I had to try it out and OMG it’s sooo good. On top of saving money, the turkey tastes so good. I like to grab a couple of slices for a quick lo calorie protein boost. It’s a win.

After slicing , I weighed out 1/2 lb portions onto parchment paper and added to freezer ziplock bags , labeled it and threw some in the freezer. I took some of the frozen packs on our camping trip. I can confirm that they freeze & defrost very well.

First things first, give God ALL the praise! 🙌🏽❤️

One thing I’ve learned is that how we start our mornings really does set the tone for the rest of our day. Starting with prayer, gratitude, and getting our hearts in the right posture makes such a difference. Now, does that mean the rest of the day goes perfectly? Absolutely not! 😂 But it helps us approach whatever comes our way a little differently.

Our morning devotionals have become such a sweet part of our homeschool routine, and I wanted to share how we do them.

Each child gets to choose a worship song, then they take turns reading the devotional and the scripture from the Bible. We’ve been using Little Lights devotional, and I really appreciate how it breaks down scripture in a way the kids can understand and apply.

One little tip that’s been helpful is putting the lyrics on the screen during worship. That way, the kids can sing along, learn the words, and eventually know the songs by heart. 🎶

Proverbs 22:6 tells us to train up a child in the way they should go, and I believe a big part of that is helping them develop good habits while they’re young. Not just academically, but spiritually, emotionally, and in how they approach everyday life.

My prayer is that these little moments become habits they carry with them long after our homeschool days are over. ❤️

Me and @maldonsalt go together real bad 😚. I love using flaky salt in my lattes and to finish off dishes. Theres kids something about it that tastes so dang good. Could be because of the mini Staub lol. by @everydaywithindie

Who else remembers @madlibsofficial ? I had forgotten about them until I saw another homeschool mom using them. Can confirm that they are still a hit with the kids ☺️.
