Accounts are tagged with links to donate to help those in need as well as accounts that share consistent news and resources. I will also add the links below! There is a collective feeling of fear, loss, pain and anger. We need to act. We need to use our voices. They are killing us. I ask myself what will be enough? What new atrocities will open the minds and hearts of the world? What will be enough to fight back? When fascism is reality when will we realize revolution is the solution? It is not enough to scream in the streets when there are children being raped in detention centers… When black and brown children are killed over and over again and their killers are never brought to justice. When the killers parents are the police, are the judges… When will it be enough? Eating kids? Bombing them? Starving them? My heart breaks. In a world where you can be considered a terrorist for speaking up against genocide but not for colonizing the world? We have the power and yet we seem to forget that. We are only strong together united, aware, working towards change. I cannot allow myself to be numb to the horrors around me. What are we living for? Why do we keep going on as if nothing is happening? July 18th is a national day of action and mourning of the death of another innocent man of color who had dreams, who loved, who deserved better. We all deserve better. We all deserve to be safe. How could you not be angry? Rest in power Nolan Wells, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Johan Sebastian and the countless lives lost to this evil system. Link to support Keith Porter’s family is posted above. There’s no words I can say that would be enough to express how devastated and scared we all should be. Rest in power to the countless lives being stolen around the world. I pray that enough of us have a soul and empathy to stand up and fight back against the U.S imperialist war machine. To my Athens community, there is a protest at 1 today! Information is posted above. We need to organize. Kindness and love must be nurtured, I will never forget the words left by Renee Good’s wife. The whole statement can be found here @jesscraven101 . In these horrific and dystopian times, we have to protect each other and never stop caring or witnessing the realities that humanity is truly facing. by @everyonelovescherry
