Every song tells a story, but MY COLOUR tells mine. I wanted this record to be a celebration of culture, language, and self-expression. It wasn’t just a creative decision, it was a way of honoring where I come from while creating something fresh and unique. I’ve always believed that music has no boundaries, and this song is proof that different sounds, dialects, and traditions can come together beautifully. That’s the energy I poured into “MY COLOUR” Thanks to my brothers for supporting the creation of this masterpiece. 🎹🥁: @ntr_law 🎸 : @cj_obassey Mixed By @iykeelvis 🎨@superconcept.ng C/d🎥@southboy_jr A huge thank you to everyone who has taken time to listen, support, and connect with the record. Joy has come EP by @everyonelovesyomi OUT NOW Produced 1,2,3,4 and 5 Super project for the year by @everyonelovesyomi
There’s a lot that goes into making a project that people never get to see. The late nights. The conversations. The doubts. The ideas that don’t make it. The songs that change completely from where they started. The moments where you question whether anybody will understand what you’re trying to say. “Joy has Come” carries all of that. I wanted to make something that felt like a true reflection of my journey at this point in my life. Not pretending I have everything figured out, but being honest about the fact that I’m still becoming the person I want to be. The title came from that feeling of looking ahead and believing there is still something beautiful waiting for you. Before you press play on the music, I want you to understand the heart behind it. This is “Joy hasCome.” And this is only the beginning. Special thanks to my team for believing in the vision @yeti1.u , @southboy_jr , @bigzaenergy , @honeybellemuzik and all my friends and family, pushing me, and putting in the work behind the scenes. And a huge thank you to my producer @ntr_law 🙌🏻for helping me turn the ideas and emotions in my head into something you can actually hear and feel. This one means a lot to me. Welcome to “Joy Is Coming.” ❤️ 🎥🎨 by yours truly x westtimmy 🎉 by @everyonelovesyomi
VANITY is coming. 🪞 Just a little taste before we let the whole thing speak for itself. Something new is on the way, and trust me, you’re going to want to hear this one from the beginning. SOON. ⏳ by @everyonelovesyomi
MY COLOUR has been doing NUMBERS and I honestly can’t thank you guys enough. 🥹❤️ Thank you to everybody streaming, sharing, posting, dancing, singing along and just genuinely bopping to my tune. And a massive shoutout to my team for putting in the work behind the scenes and believing in this song from day one. This milestone belongs to all of us. We’re just getting started. 🌍🎨 #mycolour #everyonelovesabayomi by @everyonelovesyomi
Where I come from, this season is for celebration, so KpoNfe 🕺 with this song, i want to see all the fire dance moves. Tell me in the comments how you say “dance” in your language ? 🥁- @ntr_law by @everyonelovesyomi
“Vanity” is more than a song to me. It’s a reminder. That the things we obsess over today might mean nothing tomorrow. That attention isn’t the same as love, possessions aren’t the same as happiness, and looking like you have it all together doesn’t mean you actually do. This one is meant to make you look past the surface. This isn’t a song telling anybody not to dream big. It’s more about remembering yourself while you chase the dream. Because sometimes the pursuit of success can become so loud that you forget why you started in the first place. That’s “Vanity.” #newmusic #joyhascome by @everyonelovesyomi
