NIGHT ✌️of @everyoneorchestra is on the way! The band is locked in and ready to build on the energy and chemistry that was created last night. 🔮 But before we bring it back to the main stage.. we have a very special EVERYONE’S DEAD set on the deck kicking off at 4pm. 🤘 Doors open at 3pm so get here early and grab a cold one. 🍻
Immediately following EO Dead we have a set of rug cuttin’ bluegrass from @northstategrass on the deck that will lead us into night 2 of EO on the main stage. 😵‍💫 Hydrate up. We got a barn burner ahead of us.🔥

Does this make you feel anything? If so, what?

Sometimes when I’m working on music I try to improvise and see if I can create some sort of idea from a “grey space.” Playing slow and letting a note - a harmonic, say - ring out and experimenting with different notes under it gives it new context. It can give a thought a new feeling or a note a new musical identity.

And yeah I know, “that’s just chords bruh.” But when you really slow down and create in a space not derived from major or minor tonality but a more ambiguous place you can create… a more enigmatic emotion? Cbtm.

I’m excited to improvise in a group context this weekend with @everyoneorchestra at @chspourhouse in the spirit of discovery 🫡
