WR Ja’Kobi Lane is being activated off of Injured Reserve and is expected to return to practice this week with a shot to play Sunday against Cleveland, per Jesse Minter.

In a corresponding move, the Ravens released WR Chris Moore from the 53 man roster. Moore could potentially re-join the Ravens, on the practice squad. by @everything_ravens

Ravens Vs Falcons game observations
-
1. Shoutout to Tyler Huntley, man. What a gutsy performance. He understands his strengths and limitations and took what the defense gave him. Made some clutch plays in the 4th quarter and OT that genuinely won the Ravens the game.
2. Crisp overall playcalling by Declan Doyle. Got into his bag and went sicko made, including calling a FB dive out of the Power I with Justice Hill as the fullback and a fake jet sweep screen to Derrick Henry for the TD shortly after. Those plays gave the Ravens their offensive spark in the 2nd half.
3. Just another day in the office for Derrick Henry.
4. Rashod Bateman stepped up big and made some great catches. He has been a huge beneficiary of this new offensive staff.
5. A game that Mark Andrews will genuinely want to forget.
6. Vega Ioane made the switch to playing Center for the first time in his life two weeks ago and already looks fantastic. Dare I say it but the Ravens may have a generational OL talent on their hands.
7. Mike Green’s ankle flexion and bend off the edge is absolutely filthy.
8. Tavius Robinson and Trenton Simpson have been so impressive in this new defense, pretty much every week. Both are going to get paid this offseason.
9. There’s still too many voids within the zones of this defense, if we’re being honest.
10. Kyle Hamilton called game and made a play that you expect your top defensive player to make. He always all over the field and an absolute Swiss Army knife but now he has a game-sealing play to his credit.
11. Malaki Starks had a damn good game. Easily his best game of the season.
12. Tyler Loop’s rebound has been extraordinary.
13. Worth noting that Ravens only had 5 penalties for 40 yards, which is significantly less than they had in their three other wins against the Colts, Cowboys, and Titans.
14. Already made a separate post about this but this is the type of game that the Ravens would have typically lost, more often than not, in the past. They dug deep and made the clutch game-changing plays late. Impressive stuff for everyone involved. by @everything_ravens

What a gritty win last night in Atlanta!
Honestly, one of the more impressive wins for the Ravens in recent memory.
They were facing the hottest team in football coming into the game. A very well-coached Falcons team. Kevin Stefanski is a great coach, as we know from our games against him with Cleveland. He’s a 2x Coach of the Year for a reason. The Falcons also have one of the best defensive coordinators in football, in Jeff Ulbrich. This overall inexperienced Ravens coaching staff put their noses to the grindstone and out-schemed a great coaching staff in the muck of things… Impressive stuff.
When things got the down to the wire, the Ravens stepped up and made the clutch, game-changing plays that they needed to win, such as the offense going on two TD drives in the late 4th and OT and Kyle Hamilton getting a game-clinching INT.
This is the type of game that more often than not the Ravens would’ve lost in the past, but they dug in and prevailed. A huge feather in the cap for Jesse Minter and staff, as well as, the Ravens team as a whole. by @everything_ravens

The last time that the Ravens played the Falcons, it was the coldest home game in Ravens history. The kickoff temperature was 17 degrees, with a wind chill of 2 degrees.
The Ravens won 17-9, lead by Tyler Huntley at QB.

Sunday Night Football in the ATL!

The Ravens travel to Georgia for a primetime showdown with a surging Falcons team. Battle of two of the best RBs in the game, in Derrick Henry and Bijan Robinson. by @everything_ravens

QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) and EDGE Trey Hendrickson (finger) have been ruled out for Sunday night’s game in Atlanta.

Tyler Huntley will start in place for Jackson.
HC Jesse Minter said it’s too early to know Lamar’s availability for week 6 against Cleveland, but he’s working to return.

As for Hendrickson, this is his 2nd consecutive missed game after having a procedure to repair a broken finger. by @everything_ravens

In the midst of the Cam Jurgens news, the Ravens also signed TE Nick Vannett to their 53 man roster.

Vannett is in his 11th season in the NFL and has been primarily a blocking Tight End throughout his career.
Vannett figures to be the main blocking Tight End for the Ravens, taking over the role held by Durham Smythe. by @everything_ravens

The Ravens finally decided to be aggressive in addressing their Center need by trading for Eagles C Cam Jurgens.
Yes, a 2nd round pick in 2028 may be a steep price to pay but I would honestly rather see the Ravens be aggressive in addressing their Offensive Line than do the bare minimum.
The Ravens lost Tyler Linderbaum during the off-season and did not adequately backfill him. They signed two career backups in Danny Pinter and Jovaughn Gwyn and waited until the end of the off-season to sign Ethan Pocic, who was still recovering from a late 2025 season torn Achilles.
All three unfortunately suffered long-term injuries and the Ravens resorted to playing their first round Guard, Vega Ioane, at Center. He did fine there against the Titans but they drafted Vega to be a Guard, not a Center. This move allows the Ravens to move Vega back to Guard, once Jurgens is acclimated.

Jurgens is a two time Pro Bowler in 2024 and 2025. He is an excellent fit for OL Coach Dwayne Ledford and what he wants to do in the run game, which is wide-zone and outside-zone.
Jurgens has a similar athletic profile and play style to Tyler Linderbaum which will allow the Ravens to effectively run similar run schemes behind their Center that they did with Linderbaum such as: combo blocking and getting to the second level, reach blocking, pin and pull, etc.

Jurgens is also not just a stopgap at Center for the Ravens. He’s presumably the Ravens starting Center for at least the next four seasons, as he’s on the first season of his 4yr/68M contract extension.

It is hard to find teams willing to trade starting caliber Offensive Linemen. The Ravens found a partner and pounced at the opportunity.
A starting Offensive Line of Ronnie Stanley, John Simpson, Cam Jurgens, Vega Ioane, and Roger Rosengarten gives the Ravens one of the better Offensive Lines in the league. by @everything_ravens
