Everyone needs a place they can go to connect to a higher power. My garden is where I pray and meditate. It’s where I feel peace and love. The bees buzzing, the humming birds flying around my head, the birds singing. This must be what heaven is like.

Olivia is an outstanding David Austin rose.
I had her in a pot for a couple years and last year, planted her in the ground. She has more than tripled in growth and blooms. For many roses (not all), I don’t think you can truly see a roses full potential until they have room to grow.

I’m in love with this beautiful cotton candy color zinnia. (“Precious Metal” from Floret)
I will definitely be saving these seeds. 😍❤️

I’ve been working on propagating different plants this summer but have loved propagating dahlias.

This is my first time growing strawflowers. They are considered an “Everlasting Flower”.
Once they have dried, you can use them for years, much like statice. Have you ever felt them? They feel like straw, hence their name.

Poppies are so fun in the garden. Their blooms are short lived, but I still love them.
In zone 9b, scatter seeds throughout the garden in October. They need light to germinate so don’t bury the seed. They start blooming in April.
Are you growing poppies?
