Happy New Year! We pray you'll draw near to the Lord in 2026! Remember: God is working in you, he is walking close beside you, and he is pursuing you—all the days of your life! For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. –Philippians 2:13, NLT The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. –Psalm 23, NLT Amen! Have a wonderful start to the new year! by @everywomansbible

Merry Christmas! Enjoy an Identity article from the Every Woman's Bible on Mary, Mother of Jesus: Mary remembers . . . I listened to the angel Gabriel as he spoke to me: "Greetings! The Lord is with you! You've found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus." I wondered if he was talking to me and questioned the future declared over my life. I asked, "How is this going to happen?" I wondered why God would choose me to carry such a precious child. But I said to the angel . . . "Let your will be done in my life." Gabriel also told me that my relative Elizabeth was pregnant, so I . . . visited her and the rest of my family. It was so good to be with her. She told me that the baby leaped within her when she heard my voice, and she was filled with the Spirit of God as she confirmed what the angel had said to me. My soul worships the Lord, for he has declared me a woman of favor! He has brought high the poor, rejected, and oppressed, and humbled the rich, proud, and esteemed. I accept the plans of the Lord with joyful, humble obedience. REFLECT Can you think of a time when the Lord gave you beyond what you expected? Did your "why me" turn into "why not me" with joy and obedience? What helps you say yes to the Lord when he calls you to something that feels beyond you? "Over time I have learned that God's favor is often unexpected. It is our responsibility to agree with joy to God's plan." –Dr. Virginia Ward [Written by Dr. Virginia Ward, p. 1275] Now we invite you to pray through an excerpt from the Every Woman's Prayer Journal (p. 150-152): PRAISE Lord, I praise you for being a God who goes before me and makes a way to bring your plans to pass. CONFESSION I confess that fear can hinder me from accepting and embracing surprise turning points in my life. Forgive me specifically for when . . . THANKSGIVING I am glad that I can trust your good work in my life, even when I don't understand it fully. Thank you especially for . . . REQUESTS Lord of my life, help me trust you with . . . Precious Jesus, may every woman serve you wholeheartedly, trusting your good and perfect plans for her life. Amen. by @everywomansbible

There’s something truly amazing about reading the Bible. When I reread other books, they seem familiar. I can summarize them easily, seeing my notes in the margins and nodding, “Right, I remember that.” But when I reread the Bible, new insights unfold. And when I see the AI button on my screen offering to “summarize this text,” my mind objects, “No!” I don’t want to summarize God’s Word—I want to savor it. I want to ask God to open my heart and life to more of the divine. Read the rest of @naomicrameroverton Naomi Cramer Overton's weekly devotional at: We'd love for you to join us in our Facebook community group for encouragement, connection, and accountability! You'll find the link in our bio. We're just over halfway through our Every Woman's 365-Day Bible Reading Plan, and you can jump in anytime! We make it easy to follow along by providing a 365-day checklist we're following along together as a community. Plus, there are community-read daily Scripture readings available on YouTube, via email subscription, and via audio on Spotify . . . and Naomi leads weekly prayer calls on Friday mornings! by @everywomansbible
