There is no one like my mom. Besides currently battling stage 4 cancer, my mom has done so many other things that I deem priceless. Such as, teaching me to stick up for myself, and when I’m not doing that, to stick up for the underdog. To trust myself, even when everyone around me has a different idea of what is best for me. She taught me to ask for help, as well as help myself when I felt like I couldn’t take another step forward. But most of all, my mom teaches me how to love. How to love the people that enter and exit my life, and how to love myself.
I didn’t do anything special to get this life with my mom. She’s just a part of the unique life journey I am supposed to have. And for that, I am beyond grateful. by @evie_scott10
