Evil Haze has been a significant force in the underground dark trap scene for nearly a decade, primarily known for his association with influential collectives like Raider Klan and the BMB (Black Money Boys) production team.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Evil Haze has developed a sound that serves as a meticulously crafted homage to the darker corners of hip-hop and media history. His core influences draw from the raw, lo-fi aesthetics of 90s Memphis rap, the Raider Klan/SGP phonk revival, and the deep, chopped-and-screwed textures of his native Texas culture. These foundational elements are filtered through a lens of cinematic horror scores and retro video games, resulting in a signature style that is both nostalgic and hauntingly futuristic.

Key Contributions to the Dark Trap Genre:

* Defining the Soundscape: He is a key architect of the "Texas Dark Trap" sound, characterized by heavy, distorted 808s and eerie, cinematic synths. Projects like Texas Dark Trap Massacre and So Icey Hellraiser have become benchmarks for the aesthetic, cementing his reputation as a master of atmosphere.

* Bridging the Underground and Mainstream: Through his production for major figures like SpaceGhostPurrp, Yung Simmie, and Lil Wop, he helped export the dark, distorted underground aesthetic to a wider audience. His track record includes successful collaborations that have garnered millions of streams and helped define the SoundCloud era's sonic identity.

* Longevity and Prolific Output: Since starting in 2016, his consistent release of instrumental series (such as the "808’s & Heartless" volumes 1-6 & "Impact On Hell" mixtape series 1-4) has provided a blueprint for aspiring dark trap producers. His nearly ten-year tenure in the game is a testament to his adaptability and enduring relevance in an ever-shifting genre.

* Cultural Crossover: His work with 1017 / Alamo Records signals a shift where the "evil" underground sound is being recognized by major labels, moving the genre from niche SoundCloud circles toward broader industry placement.
