Recently I had someone from @birdwellbeachbritches hit me up about getting a print of WALKING ON WATER 24x18 which was sold at a fundraiser for @awalkonwater. The print turned out really nice so I’m gonna put some up for sale. It’ll be a small run of 10 on 24x18 archival paper for $225 🤙🏽

Locals in studio @jayjohansenart -

“Anatomy of Illumination”
46x46
Acrylic on Canvas

A portrait seen in fragments - in home scene.

Anatomy of Illumination moves between clarity and abstraction — I built it so the face emerges, disappears, and reassembles as you move across the canvas. Swipe through and you’ll see what I mean: an eye holding steady in green, a stretch of pure abstraction where the face gives way completely, that one break of coral at the mouth pulling it back into focus.

🖼️ Giving the past a second life! ✨

Spent some time breathing new life into old family photos and vintage newspaper ads — it's amazing what a little restoration work can do. These moments and memories deserve to be seen clearly, not faded away.

There's something really special about uncovering the detail and character that time tried to hide. Every scratch removed feels like preserving a little piece of history. 🕰️

If you have old photos gathering dust, trust me — it's worth the effort!

Proud to celebrate Jay Johansen and his 1st Place award-winning work, “Golden Wings and Summer Things” — a striking 38x50 piece that carries both elegance and attitude.
Jay has a gift for creating figures that feel cinematic, emotionally charged, and impossible to forget. In this piece, there is beauty, poise, and a quiet confidence that holds the viewer in place. The title itself suggests lightness and season, but the painting brings more than that — it carries mood, presence, and a sense of story that lingers.

A 1st Place finish feels exactly right for a work like this. “Golden Wings and Summer Things” has that rare quality collectors respond to immediately: it is visually compelling at first glance, but it also keeps revealing more the longer you stay with it.

At Evolve Digital, we are proud to support Jay Johansen, an artist whose work continues to earn recognition for its originality, sophistication, and unmistakable voice.

Congratulations to Jay on this well-deserved honor.

Here’s a slightly more energetic version:

Alternate caption:

A big congratulations to our client Jay Johansen on taking 1st Place with “Golden Wings and Summer Things” (38x50).

This piece has everything that makes Jay’s work so memorable — style, strength, atmosphere, and that unmistakable ability to stop people in their tracks. It feels radiant and self-possessed, with a presence that goes far beyond the canvas.

Recognition like this is never accidental. It reflects the power of the work, the originality of the vision, and the consistency of an artist who continues to create at a very high level.

Proud to support Jay and proud to see “Golden Wings and Summer Things” receive the recognition it deserves.

“Dia de la Pagana” by CJ Troxell is built on a simple idea that should not be difficult to understand:
Respect the earth and all its creatures. She gives back more than we admit.
Everything else is noise.

That mindset runs straight through CJ’s process. His work pulls together the sacred, the wild, the organic, and the uncomfortable to remind us that life is not separate from death, beauty is not separate from survival, and humans are not separate from the systems that sustain them.
This piece does not overexplain. It does not soften the message. It asks for humility. Work the land. Eat what grows from it. Stop complicating what should be instinctive.

Proud to support an artist whose work still has the nerve to say something real.

Check his work out...very topical and thought provoking - he might be the kindest human you'll ever meet!

Proud to support our client and local artist Marcelo Bengoechea, whose work was featured on the cover of Ranch & Coast Magazine’s March 2026 Art Issue.

Marcelo’s art continues to resonate not only for its visual impact, but for the deeply human story woven into every piece.
Woven Together carries more than beauty. It carries legacy.

The story begins with Marcelo’s late brother, Fernando Bengoechea, an internationally acclaimed photographer whose pioneering woven photographs created a distinctive way of experiencing image, texture, and emotion. After Fernando’s death in the 2004 tsunami, Marcelo carried that vision forward through his own hands, preserving his brother’s artistic voice while continuing to evolve it with tenderness, purpose, and extraordinary craftsmanship.
That history gives this piece its emotional power. The desert landscape, the woven surface, and the luminous sky speak to something larger than a single image. This is remembrance made tangible. It is family, artistry, and devotion held together through the act of making.

At Evolve Digital, we are honored to support Marcelo, his work, and the legacy behind it. Woven Together is more than a title. It reflects an enduring bond between brothers and a body of work that continues to move people in galleries, in print, and now on the cover of one of San Diego’s defining lifestyle publications.

5 Reasons to Digitize Your Artwork:

1. Preserve Your Original Work in High-Quality Format
