Meet Justin. đŸ‹ïžâ€â™€ïžâŁ

A former college athlete who once thrived on structure, discipline, and competition. But now?⁣

Life’s different.⁣
‹⁣ Between juggling a career and trying to stay jacked, Justin found himself stuck in a cycle of “good enough” workouts and random nutrition advice he picked up from bodybuilding.com
‹⁣ He thought he could just push through like he always had, but something was missing...⁣ ⁣

âšĄïž The accountability of a coach & a team.â€šâšĄïž The right plan to rebuild his strength.â€šâšĄïž The confidence he used to be proud of- but now feels like shit.
‹He craved that feeling of being in peak shape again—strong, unstoppable, athletic. But no matter how hard he worked, he wasn’t seeing the results he wanted.⁣ ⁣

Then, Justin realized he didn’t need to figure it out alone, put his ego aside and found us —Evolve Health & Performance—and we gave him the structure he was missing:⁣
‹⁣ đŸ’„ A science-backed plan personalized to his goals.â€šđŸ’„ Accountability and support, like she he back in his athlete days.â€šđŸ’„ Real strategies to improve his performance AND heal his body from the inside out.⁣
‹⁣ Now, Justin stronger than ever, jacked AF, thriving in AND out of the gym.⁣
‹⁣ Tired of going in circles wasting time and energy on what is ACTUALLY going to work for you?
‹⁣ Stop trying to “figure it out” on your own.

We are the solution for you.

We’ve got the expertise, accountability, and the exact plan to get you back to your strongest self.⁣
‹⁣ Time to reclaim your strength and confidence.

If you’re “just fine” crusin’ on your own- totally cool. But if you actually want to get better to get to that next level

Let’s make it happen—link in bio! by @evolve_hp

I told my athlete he was playing small.

He had just signed up for a HYROX competition, PRO division.

I know what you’re thinking

“Dude, HYROX Pro is an IMPRESSIVE goal.”

And you’re not wrong. Jake had never competed in anything like this before.

Most of our training had been bodybuilding-style lifting, with hiking, golfing, biking, and other adventures sprinkled in for cardio.

This kind of intensity? We hadn’t really touched it.

So when Jake told me he signed up, I was pumped. And I asked him:

“What’s your goal for this?”

His answer:

“Honestly, just to finish.”

That’s where I pushed back.

For Jake, finishing wasn’t really the stretch.

He was already fit enough to finish. There wasn’t a movement in the race he wasn’t physically capable of doing, even if some of them were going to suck.

“Just finish” sounded like a big goal.

But for him, it was playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

And how often do we do that in other areas of life?

We take on something big, but set the bar low enough that we don’t have to risk failing.

So I challenged Jake to get specific.

What time are you going after?

How do you want to attack each station?

Where are you going to push instead of just survive?

What would actually require you to become a better athlete?

Then we trained for THAT.

Did everything go exactly according to plan?

No.

And that’s not the point.

The goal of the goal isn’t just to accomplish the goal.

It’s who you become in pursuit of it.

That’s the power of declaring something beyond your current capacity.

What’s a goal in your life that feels scary to declare, but would be worth the person you’d have to become in pursuit of it? by @evolve_hp

I used to be so bad at this

.
When I powerlifted, doing anything other than squatting, benching, deadlifting felt pointless.
.
Truthfully it created a poor mindset and poor CV endurance 😅
.
Eventually i got away from my “all or nothing” mentality and got in the best shape of my life, became more well rounded AND healthier.
.
Now i help former athletes overcome the same mental hurdles, creating some hybrid monsters đŸ‘č
.
Need structure to lock in for the next 90 days?
.

The other day, I sat down to journal and ended up crying

I finally realized how much of my worth I had tied to accomplishing things.

When I wasn’t chasing, working toward something or being praised for something, I didn’t feel good enough.

And when I didn’t feel good enough, I didn’t want to do anything.

I froze.

Because the version of me I kept comparing myself to doesn’t exist anymore.

I cannot physically be who I was when bodybuilding was my entire life.

I cannot train like her.

I cannot organize my entire life around looking the way she looked.

I have a different body, different priorities, different responsibilities and a completely different life now.

And that isn’t a bad thing.
But I had to stop asking, “How do I get back to who I was?”

And start asking:
“What can I do right now?”
“Who do I want to be right now?”
“What would becoming the strongest version of myself in this life actually look like?”

This is where so many former athletes stay stuck.

You keep clinging to the body, schedule, goals and identity you had during a completely different phase of your life.

But you physically cannot be her anymore.
You’re different.
Your life is different.
Your body is different.

And that is exactly what your training and nutrition need to be built around.

This is why we created something really fucking special specifically for the former athlete

Everything doesn’t always go according to plan as an athlete.

You prep for months.

All the training sessions.
All the meals.
All the supplements.
All the feedback videos and tiny form adjustments.

You put your heart and soul into being ready.

Then competition day comes

You weigh in lighter than expected and end up in a different, more competitive weight class.

The judges are picky with your lifts.

You get red-lighted on attempts that normally aren’t a problem.

Things start stacking up.

And now you have a choice.

You can spend the rest of the day focused on everything that’s going wrong and everything outside of your control

Or you can own what IS in your control:

How you respond.
How you communicate.
How quickly you reset.
And who you choose to be on the next attempt.

This is where Rose found herself in her meet the other weekend.

The day didn’t go exactly how she pictured it, but she kept competing.

She finished with:

đŸ‹ïž 209 lb squat
đŸ’Ș 99 lb bench
đŸ”„ 281 lb deadlift PR

After a frustrating start to the meet, Rose could have mentally checked out.

Instead, she regrouped, trusted herself and the work she had put in, and finished the day with a PR.

That’s what ownership gives you.

Ownership doesn’t mean pretending circumstances don’t matter. It means refusing to give them the final say in how you show up.

This is life.

Your boss might not respond how you want.

Your spouse might disappoint you.

Your business might hit a rough season.

Your body might not cooperate.

The plan might completely fall apart.

You don’t always get to choose what happens next. But you do get to choose who YOU are going to be in the middle of it.

Proud of you, Rose. Onto the next one đŸ™ŒđŸ» by @evolve_hp

Former collegiate track athlete âžĄïž 40 lbs DOWN and absolutely THRIVING.

She lost 40 lbs in 8 months and has now successfully transitioned out of her fat-loss phase (maintaining around 145 lbs while eating 2,200 calories per day.)

After collegiate sports ended and she began her career as a nurse, she felt like she had lost a piece of herself. But instead of just chasing another quick weight loss goal, she learned how to fuel her body, train with purpose, and build habits she can actually sustain.

Now she can confidently say she knows how to maintain her results and has the tools to continue improving without constantly dieting.

So proud of her and everything she’s accomplished. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together next! đŸ©” by @evolve_hp

At some point, a lot of former athletes stop feeling like athletes.

Life gets busier.

Careers, marriage, responsibilities, stress

And training slowly becomes something you used to do.

But that doesn’t mean the athlete in you is gone.

Erin is a perfect example.

She came to us wanting to lose body fat and change her body, but she also wanted to get stronger, improve her endurance and feel capable again. Like an ATHLETE.

So she started pushing weights that used to intimidate her.

She hit PR after PR.

She got stronger.

And after not running a timed mile in a hot MINUTE, she surprised herself by running one in under 9 minutes.

But one of my favorite things Erin said toward the end of our time together was:

“I learned so much about myself that I didn’t think I was capable of.”

That’s what this is about.

Yes, changing your body is awesome.

And losing 24lbs definitely doesnt suck 😏

But there’s something different about proving to yourself that you can still do hard things.

That you can still train hard.

That you can still get stronger.

That the athlete you used to be isn’t gone.

You might just need an opportunity to bring that person back out again. by @evolve_hp
