Lately, I’ve had so many lovely comments about my skin and how young I look, especially when people find out I’m a mum to a 13 and 11-year-old and nearly 39! 🥹🤍

And it got me thinking… what have I been doing differently?

The answer? I’ve started prioritising myself. 💕

Between being a mum, running my own business and juggling everything life throws at me, it’s so easy to put myself last.

Mums… this is your reminder that you’re allowed to have time for YOU. 🤎

You spend so much of your life looking after everyone else. The school runs, the washing, the work, the appointments, the endless mental checklist that somehow never switches off…

But who’s looking after you?

Taking an hour to lie down, close your eyes, enjoy a facial and let somebody else take care of you isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. ✨

You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to feel guilty for taking a break.
And you don’t have to wait until you’re completely exhausted before you give yourself permission to stop.

✨ WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME… ✨

I thought it was time you got to know the person behind Evolve Therapies a little better 🤎

I’m Laurie 👋🏼 and there’s definitely more to me than facials, skincare and treatments…

🤍 I’m a mum to two beautiful children, aged 13 and 11, and being their mum will always be my biggest role.

🎓 I have two degrees and, before Evolve, I was a primary school teacher. I put an unbelievable amount of pressure on myself in that career because I genuinely cared so much about the children I worked with.

🦋 Eventually, I realised I wanted to build something of my own, and Evolve Therapies was born.

✨ My motto is “Where Beauty Meets Growth” because I believe beauty and wellbeing should be about so much more than how you look. I want people to leave me feeling better than when they walked in.

💗 I’m a complete girls’ girl. I love supporting other women, celebrating their wins and making people feel special.

🧚🏼‍♀️ I’m a sucker for love and fairytale endings. Give me romance, magic and a happy ending and I’m sold.

😂 I’m also super impatient. When I decide I want to do something, I want it done approximately… yesterday.

🧠 I start one thing, think of another, then another, and before I know it I have about 30 ideas on the go at once.

🌱 I believe massively in growth, good energy and karma. I think what you put into the world matters.

🤎 Manners mean everything to me. Kindness costs nothing and the way you make people feel stays with them.

⚽️ Football is life and my biggest passion is Coventry City FC 🩵 I’m always proud of being a cov girl

🥤 And a slightly less profound fact… I am completely addicted to Red Bull. 😂

Life has changed a lot for me over the last few years, but one thing I’ve learnt is that sometimes you have to be brave enough to create the life that feels right for you.

That’s what Evolve represents to me.

Not perfection. Growth.

Not just beauty. Confidence, connection, self-care and becoming more of yourself.

And I feel like I’m only just getting started. 🦋🤎
