Would you believe him if you stopped watching halfway? 👀

A confident voice. A convincing explanation. Suddenly, something you’d normally question starts sounding reasonable.

That’s the power—and the danger—of persuasive communication. Words can inspire, influence, or mislead. How they’re delivered can change everything.

Watch the full clip, then tell me: when did you realize where he was going? 👇

The Hadza are an Indigenous community in Tanzania with a long tradition of hunting with bows and arrows. Their archery skills reflect knowledge passed down through generations, years of practice, and a deep understanding of their equipment.

In this clip, Hadza hunters try a bow with a more complex design than their traditional bows. Watching them explore its unfamiliar features offers an interesting glimpse into how experienced archers adapt to different equipment.

Their existing skills provide a foundation, but the new design requires adjustments to how they handle, draw, and shoot the bow. The process highlights the difference between mastering a familiar tool and learning to use a new one.

The footage offers a thoughtful reminder: expertise can help us learn, but it does not eliminate the need for experimentation and practice when we encounter unfamiliar technology. by @evolvita

A Chinese nurse draws simple pictures to explain a surgical procedure to a foreign student. Using clear sketches and gestures, she breaks down each step of the surgery in an easy-to-understand way. The student carefully follows along, helping bridge the language barrier and making the medical explanation less intimidating.

Home Alone will never feel quite the same again.

For decades, these films have been a source of pure comfort — a cherished Christmas tradition capable of transporting us back to childhood within seconds. But every return to the McCallister house now carries with it a growing sense of loss.

In 2026 alone, the franchise lost three of its most beloved faces: Catherine O’Hara, Kevin’s fiercely determined mother; Brenda Fricker, the lonely Pigeon Lady who became his unexpected friend; and Tim Curry, the wonderfully suspicious concierge at the Plaza Hotel.

They join John Candy, John Heard, Roberts Blossom, Ralph Foody and Eddie Bracken — performers whose relatively brief appearances brought so much warmth, humour and personality to these films. Candy’s reassuring kindness, Blossom’s quiet loneliness, Peter McCallister’s exhausted confusion and Johnny’s unforgettable gangster dialogue all became inseparable from the world of Home Alone.

The films will always make us laugh. They will always feel like Christmas. But from now on, watching Home Alone will also feel like returning to a place filled with familiar faces we deeply miss — a reunion with people who helped make our childhoods feel a little more magical.

Parenting guides often use humor to make important lessons easier to remember, and Safe Baby Handling Tips by David Sopp and Kelly Sopp is a perfect example. The book uses exaggerated illustrations of absurd parenting “don’ts” to get laughs while reinforcing a serious message: babies require gentle, attentive, and responsible care.

With its simple format and over-the-top examples, the book turns basic safety advice into memorable humor. This approach helped make it a popular gift for new parents and a widely shared piece of parenting comedy. by @evolvita

A catastrophic flash flood struck the Nepal–Tibet border on August 26, 2026, after a massive wall of mud and rock surged into the Bhote Koshi River. The disaster swept through villages in Nepal’s Rasuwa district, destroying homes, roads, bridges and hydropower infrastructure.

Authorities reported 384 travellers missing, including 291 foreign nationals, while the confirmed death toll continued to rise as rescue teams searched the devastated region. Officials warned that the full scale of the disaster may not yet be known, with flooding and damaged roads making rescue operations extremely difficult.

Nepalese and Chinese authorities launched search-and-rescue operations on both sides of the border as communities were urged to move away from riverbanks and remain alert for further flooding.

The 90s were full of completely normal things that would feel strangely futuristic—or just bizarre—today. Having to physically get up to change the TV channel. Waiting for a song to finish recording onto a cassette tape. Using a phone that was attached to the wall. Taking photos without knowing how they turned out until days later.

People also used encyclopedias instead of Google, printed out MapQuest directions instead of using GPS, and went to the library to look things up. If you wanted to talk to someone, you called their house and hoped their parents didn’t answer. There were no notifications, no read receipts, and no way to casually check what everyone was doing 24/7.

Even things like watching a movie meant actually going to a video store, picking out a VHS, and remembering to rewind it before returning it. The idea of carrying the entire internet, a camera, a music player, a TV, and a phone in your pocket would have sounded like science fiction.

The weirdest part is that none of this felt inconvenient at the time. It was just normal life. by @evolvita

A Ugandan government minister reportedly visited the location to inspect a bridge project that allegedly cost approximately $350,000. However, the structure seen in the video appears surprisingly modest—a short crossing only a few metres long, with a narrow opening underneath. The noticeable difference between the reported cost and the project’s apparent size has caused widespread surprise and discussion online.

The footage has also led to accusations of corruption and strong public criticism, as many viewers question how such a small-looking structure could cost so much. Still, the video by itself does not prove that corruption occurred. Construction budgets may include many expenses that are not visible in a short clip, such as site preparation, drainage systems, engineering, labour, building materials and project management.

Nevertheless, the controversy draws attention to the broader issue of transparency in public spending. When taxpayer funds are used for infrastructure projects, the public has every right to know how much was spent, what work was included and how the money was used by @evolvita
