Solo road trip/soul search adventure:

June 27 - July 5, 2026
CA / NV / AZ / UT / ID / WY / MT / CO

Journal Entry:

“Felt the urge to get in the car by myself with no plan whatsoever and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. I saw parts of the country i never knew existed. i found beauty everywhere, even in the places where you’d assume there’s nothing to see. I saw the sun rise and set nearly every day in a different environment. At certain points i felt like i was in a time machine to the 1800s.

I had a lot of time to reflect and be alone with myself and my anxieties and for the most part felt at peace. It’s so easy to find yourself feeling stagnant in a daily routine. it’s important to try and break out of it and push yourself far out of your comfort zone. Even if it’s just for a little bit.

Life is short and unexpected. When i finally got home i took a deep long breath to take everything in, only to get a call that my dearest cousin is no longer with us. My family waited over a day until i was no longer driving alone to tell me. Ultimate high immediately to the ultimate low in a second. It’s not the way i imagined this experience to end. I felt the entirety of my trip was wiped away in an instant.

I’m not trying to overshare or anything like that. I just want this to be memorialized here as a reminder to myself to not take anything for granted and to try and keep the feelings and emotions i experienced during this trip deep within me as life and work get back to normal.

If you read this i love you.

Rest in Peace Josh ❤️ 👼” by @evsteiny
