Competitions are hard but they’re even harder when you’re competing against your sister.

Paraíso has 2 Rainhas de Bateria 👑👑 and we are going to make our community proud 🔥

Obrigada bateria Firebird, obrigada Presidente, obrigada comunidade❤️🤍

Thank you @dexout for capturing this beautiful moment

THIS is my favourite part of Carnival Monday. Reuniting with my Paraíso people and my people from other groups, creating new memories, giving each other love.

Rain or sunshine. See you all on Monday! 🫶🏿

Standing Firm in Power and Pride ✊🏿

In 2023, the theme of @paraisoschoolofsamba was centred around Egypt, Tutankhamun and the discovery of his tomb.
It was clear that I would represent Nefertiti, but someone spoke to me in a dream and said I had to represent an Egyptian god.

Ra, god of the sun, creation and life. King of all gods.
A reminder that African and Black History began with wealth, knowledge, beliefs, rich cultures.

To my talented black queens @ilaleila @helgadoeshair
Thank you for understanding my vision and for creating this iconic headpiece.
Let’s put it out to the universe; your creation will soon be exhibited at the @vamuseum

My hair is my crown 👑

Afro hair in real life and especially on stage because representation matters.

My parents did a wonderful job raising me and my sisters, teaching us to embrace our natural 4c GOOD hair and skin colour.
Thank you parents. 🙏🏿🤲🏿

Thank you World Afro Day, all day, everyday✊🏿

Notting Hill Carnival was very different for me this year.
No feathers, no big costume, but trust and believe i wasn’t staying home.
Had to be there with my school @paraisoschoolofsamba , my community, my family, my friends….rocking a bedazzled tee (obrigada Rainhas Stefania and Maria)

Team Apoios/Stewards - you are the best
Thanks for your support and your hard work.

🙌🏿We did it 🙌🏿 ❤️🤍 #blessings
