Making nature your neighbor.

Not making yourself at home in a city center, but returning to the outdoor feeling that sparked my imagination as a child. Moving to a quiet place in nature, being much more in touch with all four seasons (slide 9/10). Much more of my everyday activities happen outside.

Less comfort, less stuff but more life. It brings you back to the essence and it teaches you to appreciate the little things more. It also gives me more freedom to live up to the adventurous journeys I aspire to. Whether it’s boiling hot at the edge of a volcano, or in -28 in Swedish Lapland. It happens outside! Work with the seasons and the weather that comes with them, don’t go against them.

After all, you are part of it.

Small documentary about Mirlan and Arzymat during our trip to Kyrgyzstan.

Without plans, you often end up in the best situations. But it was quite hard to get started on this trip. We wanted to connect with local life and explore the nomadic culture.

After searching and searching, we got in touch with Mirlan through a Facebook group (yes my friends, Facebook groups are one of the best ways to get into subcultures if you ask me).

Through Facebook, we found Mirlan. He introduced us to his whole family, the family farm, their horses, and their culture. We talked for hours about our cultures and the behaviours that come with them. We became friends, and we made this little documentary about him.

At the beginning of this year, we were once again given the opportunity to undertake a truly adventurous lifestyle project for @mascotte.official in beautiful South Africa.

A country full of striking contrasts. And a team, each member with their own unique perspective, which we were able to bring together into a one project. Here’s a glimpse of the many adventures we experienced. Meet people, embrace nature and get out there!

A year after my time at @muzangafoundation I still think about when we first met during his piecework. Last week he took us on a bike ride through the rural landscape to his village, where we met his family. Last year we went on a trip with @milahashqueen for @mascotte.official

Mila is an adventurous soul. She hitchhiked all over the world. Told us decades of stories. She builded her whole life around freedom. Knows exactly how she wants it and who she is. This inspiring lady made it a week to remember.
