September was fun! Only managed to capture a few of the moments but a lot was experienced, learned and enjoyed. taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @ewani365

A reminder I needed myself.

It’s easy to become so focused on where you want to be that you forget to appreciate how far you’ve already come.

There will always be another goal, another milestone, and something that still needs improving. But that doesn’t make what’s already here any less meaningful.

Sometimes, you just need to slow down long enough to notice it.

Looks like my problems finally approved the discount, so I used the break to go hiking at Watersprite Lake. If you haven’t done it yet, I highly recommend. Will be doing again for sure.

The problems will resume during regular business hours. But any delay is greatly appreciated 😂 taken in Watersprite Lake by @ewani365

What you see in this reel is the equipment used to film this client testimonial.

What you don’t see is the planning that happened before any of it was set up.

This interview was created to capture Quint Development Corporation @quintsaskatoon experience working with Langlois Electric @langloiselectric . Before the cameras started recording, I prepared questions designed to uncover the complete story:

What problem were they facing before reaching out?
Why did they choose Langlois Electric?
What was the experience of working with the team like?
And what changed after the work was completed?

The goal was not to give the client a script or tell them what to say. It was to ask the right questions, in the right order, so they could tell their story naturally and in their own words.

Once we understood the story we needed to capture, every production choice had a purpose.

One camera captured the emotion.
The other provided context.
The lighting shaped the subject.
The audio made sure the story was heard clearly.

The equipment matters, but two cameras and good lighting alone do not create a persuasive testimonial.

The right questions uncover the story. The production choices help that story connect with the people it is meant to reach.

The finished video may only be a few minutes long, but the strategy, planning, and intention behind it begin long before the camera starts recording.

I filmed this back earlier last year before moving to Vancouver but never shared it.

I have years of work sitting on hard drives from all the way back in 2021 because I kept thinking every post needed the perfect explanation, strategy, or rollout. It doesn’t.

So I’m going to start sharing the work, the process behind it, and what I’ve learned along the way. Starting with this one. taken in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan by @ewani365

Eight months of silence. Here is the short version.

Moved to Vancouver. Lost my Saskatchewan market overnight. Could not market in Vancouver either because of a forced rebrand due to copyright. Tore my quad. Multiple hospital trips. Went back to working restaurant shifts and personal training to survive while I figured out the next move.

Not my finest chapter. But honestly one of the most important ones.

Out of all of it came Greycrest Visuals Inc. Strategic video production for government, institutional, and enterprise organizations across Canada. Built with a clearer focus than anything I have done before.

Grateful for the hard seasons. They show you what you are actually made of.

Back and building. Follow along.

Somewhere between fights, carbs, and cuts…
The next edit lives in my head. Just not on the timeline yet.

JUST HAVE FUN

From wanting to be a cardiologist since elementary school...
To buying a camera…
To starting a business that people laughed at.
“Your little business?” “That camera?” "It's just a picture/video" Yeah, I heard it all.

But when you chase purpose over perfection, things change.
Your priorities shift. Your friends change. Your mindset evolves.
You lose comfort but find clarity.

It’s messy at first, foggy, uncertain.
But little by little, it starts to make sense.
And through it all, one thing matters most:

JUST HAVE FUN.
Enjoy the process. The grind. The growth.
Because what once felt random starts to feel like destiny.
