The fight game has some of the harshest fans of any sport I’ve ever encountered. Shadow boxing in front of your mirror or taking 7 intro Jiu Jitsu classes doesn’t qualify you to judge the people risking their lives for your entertainment 🙄 This last fight night was WILD. Wins and lessons. Just want to say Thank you to all the fighters (and their coaches) for your dedication, discipline and passion. I personally get inspired to push through challenges and reach for new heights in my life when I watch these men and women lay it all on the line for their dreams. Knowing their hearts outside the octagon makes it that much more impressive. I’m so proud of you all going for it and being in the fire 🔥 Wishing everyone tremendous health and success on this journey 🫶🫶🫶 taken in UFC APEX by @excitefight

A photo from the PNW Legend RICK LITTLEs show , EXCITEFIGHT.

Rick is someone I’ve always witnessed from afar and found inspiration from. To know a man from my home state could build something for himself the way that he has and successfully become the bridge for so many people to make from the regional scene to the big stages of the UFC is something special.

Much respect the man of @excitefight

Also in this photo is my long time friend Dylan Potter who has made it to some huge stages as well.. another humble man that’s always looking out the people next to him. Dylan is one of the most solid dudes I’ve met in MMA. He even cornered me when I made the transition from kickboxing to MMA for the debut.

Also in photo is Byron Fernandus, believe it or not … the man is in his 50s and was still training, coaching and fighting . He’s a mad man.

The vastness of the people drawn to the game is something special.. it’s one of the only spaces I’ve been privileged enough to witness multiple times felons and law enforcements at peace with each other on the mats. So many different backgrounds, reasons and challenges.. each story unique in and of itself. Each fighting their own internal battles and driven to the external world of combat sports.

It’s a beautiful ugly thing.

This figbt was basically a draw last time. More on the line, more rounds, more intensity. I bet there is a clear winner this time! Who gets the belt? Christina Ordonez or Lisa Holtz ?
