A historic day for Malta.

Today, the first-ever direct flight from New York landed in Malta, creating a new non-stop link between the Maltese Islands and North America.

For years, travellers from the United States and Canada have reached Malta via European hubs. This new route makes the journey simpler, more convenient, and brings Malta closer than ever to one of its most important long-haul markets.

The departure from NYC was met with a bit of fanfare to celebrate a milestone that strengthens connections between two destinations with deep cultural, business, and family ties.

For those of us who work in travel, it's exciting to see Malta become even more accessible to visitors seeking its history, culture, coastline, and way of life.

We are delighted to have guests on this inaugural flight.

What a little gem. ♥️

Malta has lots of casual places to eat, but Buonbon Café in Mosta really stands out for the warmth and friendliness. We’ve only been twice and somehow already feel like family.

With Easter around the corner, it’s also the place to grab what might just be the tastiest figolli in Malta, made by record-breaking baker Jessica. Take a look at her little innovation!

Fresh ingredients, really really delicious food, and the loveliest team. Big thanks to Chef Nasstasia, and a shout-out to Shania and Rihanna for taking such good care of us.
