🕊️ Early morning light before we open the doors to guests… the arcade has such a special quality, it’s a unique space with unique light, especially in Autumn when the light makes everything even more illuminated, and we start to cherish the honey glow even more, as we feel the shift to darker mornings and evenings 🌅 📸 Sea salt & Smoked maple latte, w/ almond mylk, from our Autumn barista menu by @exetersacredgrounds

We’ve got a new hot chocolate on the menu and it is so very special. Crafted by the wonderful @radekschocolate who have created a hot chocolate in collaboration with @bristolfungarium we are huge fans of both businesses 🧡 and so happy to be able to offer this delicious chocolate to our guests, we’ll be stocking their beautiful small batch made chocolate bars on our shelves very soon! “This Lions Mane Cacao Drink is made with ethically sourced cocoa beans grown by farmers respecting human rights, biodiversity and cocoa forestry. Bristol Fungarium grow the only native lions mane in England, cloned from an indigenous specimen found just 500m away from their mushroom farm in Somerset. A perfect meeting of ingredients that are full of antioxidants, betaglucans and unique compounds that are perfect for cognition, mood, focus & energy.” Find the mushroom hot chocolate on our autumn menu & tins to take home or gift on the shelves 🧡✨ by @exetersacredgrounds

5 reasons why we’re a waste conscious cafe…. #1 - delicious things when cooked, stewed or macerated often create other delicious things, and throwing these things away make us very sad. #2 - we love co-ords, matching your drink to your dish is a tour of an ingredient used in different ways - hello Michelin menu 🙋‍♀️ 💅 #3 - we love plants and all the great things we can do to be creative with them, give us something that smells good and would be otherwise wasted and one of the team will have it whipped up with a bow on it in a drink, cake or pie faster than a micro-green sprout 🌱 #4 - It makes perfect business sense, resourceful, adaptive and what our menu has been based on since the get-go #5 - Spiced Apple Warmer, need we say anything else! - the perfect Autumn hot drink, so very Scandinavian, so very Sacred - created from the apple peel from our Autumn sweet waffles! 🧇 by @exetersacredgrounds

It’s an atrium Autumn, the temps may have shifted, but our outdoor indoor space has individual table heaters for comfort and we have cosy blankets to snuggle up with a hot chocolate in, the most beautiful space for crafts, books, a five minute break from the hustle bustle or a long catch up with friends. SIX DAYS TO GO! 8 years of recipes! There are so many memorable combinations that we’ve put together, many of which still hold a place on our menu, when we were brand new kids on the block and putting out menus weekly, it was a wild time! Throwing caution to the wind, and racking up huge orders with unthinkable combos, I mean - how were we to know that spending all your budget on pistachios and chocolate wasn’t the best idea ever? 8 years later and my thoughts definitely haven’t changed about pistachios and chocolate, but we are perhaps better at a few things, like planning menus, building teams & menu building! One day we will share all our recipes with you, we know that good things take time, and the best books aren’t built in a day, just like the best places they take time energy & heart 🧡🌀⚡️ Six days to go || birthday || party || sacred grounds || Exeter by @exetersacredgrounds
