.letterstoyouABB360 StudiosBaltimore, MD@letterstoyouscreamo playing the thematically-appropriate @abb360studios (during the day they do printing, shredding, and notary lol) on April 9th. I was lucky enough to catch letters’ first few live shows, and I think this was my favorite spot they’ve played so far. The floor show situation goes super hard, and though I was skeptical of the plastic tree in the back, it ended up looking so fckn cool with the lights. So apologies to the plastic sakura tree, I was not familiar with your game 😂 Shot these on my @lensbabyusa Composer Pro 2 with both my Edge 50 and Edge 80 optics. The lighting was already super red, but I pushed it a little more dramatic in the edit and made it a little more orange to stick with the colors from their new album.I am super proud of these and had a ton of fun with them, I’ve been really enjoying this band’s vibe. Lots of good people in this band doing a ton of cool stuff. by @exilehousecreative

.I’ve had more questions lately about whether or not I charge for my photography.I figured I would put this together to clear things up a little bit. I will never try to charge you money for using photos I take of your band.It feels deeply wrong to record someone performing their art, then try to sell images of their art and their body back to them for a profit.THE RULES:* If you want to use or share photos I take of your band, go right ahead! All I ask is that you credit me.* If you want me to take down photos I have taken of you, just ask! I believe everyone has a right to autonomy over how their face, body, and art are used, both on social media and in meatspace.* If you want me to come photograph your band, message me! I love going to shows and would probably be there anyway.* If you want me to help you with album art, band photography, or a music video, hit me up! I am not gonna charge you money unless something is going to cost me a ton of money to do. If you absolutely wanna spend some money, I’ll pick a mutual aid fund for you to donate to.The only thing I am NOT okay with is someone taking my work without permission and using my work for profit. If you are a label, a media outlet, or someone else making something to sell, you need to ask me for permission. I may make you give me money and I will definitely make you give the band money. I DO believe artists have a right to eat.I will never be comfortable contributing to commodification of my culture or my community. by @exilehousecreative

.Radium GirlHoly FrijolesBaltimore, MD...@radiumgirlhc at @holyfrijolesmd opening the homecoming show of the Good Benny (Good Teal/Noir Benny) album release tour. I haven’t gotten a chance to photograph them before, so I was pretty excited to get to catch them at this show. Energy was high and vibes were immaculate.If you like Radium Girl, they’re going to be playing at Baltimore Unity Hall this coming Friday 7/24 on a stacked lineup with Muscle, Abbatia, and Oxrun!Shot on my @lensbabyusa Composer Pro 2 x Edge Optics setup. I rarely do black-and-white, but when I do, I always enjoy them. I really love how the contrast came out, especially in the multi exposures. by @exilehousecreative

.Stygian BoughMetro GalleryBaltimore, MD...Holy shit. A lot of people don’t know about Stygian Bough, which is insane to me because it’s the collab between members of doom legends @bellwitchdoom and @aerialruin and features some of the nastiest bass playing known to humankind, and some of the saddest riffs on Earth. I have so much respect for these guys and really love this project, almost lost my mind when they announced that they were rolling around with 40 Watt Sun. I was entirely too excited for this show 😆 Shot on my @lensbabyusa Composer Pro 2 x Edge Optics setup. The colors really were this amazing, I repeat, the lighting at @metro_baltimore is unsurpassed among venues in Bmore. I really recommend every touring band play here if you want shots of you to look this good. I barely had to edit these, just mild exposure correction.I got infrareds of this set as well, prepare for those next! by @exilehousecreative

.40 Watt SunMetro GalleryBaltimore, MD...@40wattsunmusic in infrared (1-4) & visible light (5-7) at @metro_baltimore on his last tour with Stygian Bough. Everyone knows I love Warning and 40 Watt Sun and this dude is legendary to me. He’s also always so nice despite me being a punisher every time he comes through 😆 Dude doesn’t have an ounce of egotism in his body.I am so excited we got a new Warning album too! And it’s really good!!! .sunlight through treesBrooklyn, NY...Shot on my 2000s Kodak C195. If you start the video zoomed out and then use the digital zoom while you’re recording, the camera doesn’t adjust so you end up getting really weird pixelated artifacts. This has an artificial color grade on it, but all of the crunch and distortion and color aberration is part of the raw video. by @exilehousecreative

.ConjurerMobtown BallroomBaltimore, MD...@conjureruk playing on their tour with Sadness at @mobtownballroom last month. It really has been a summer of legendary bands, and it’s not even close to over!Conjurer really stands out because it’s rare that a band scratches the doom-thirsty parts of my brain and the smart/mathy parts of my brain at the same time. They’ve really found a chemistry with their sound that is much greater than the sum of its parts. I am so glad I got to see them live!!!Shot on my @lensbabyusa Composer Pro 2 x Edge optics lenses. An edit with a high black point and extreme contrast felt like the right move for a band this intense. by @exilehousecreative
