Hello! Nice to meet you!
Today I turned 35, and I’m feeling nostalgic about this page, and there are some new faces… so I’m here to introduce myself!

I’m mostly here to talk about Tolkien, but I’ve been sharing some more things I love lately too! Hopefully this will give you an idea of who I am and what I’m doing here :)

Thanks for being here! by @exlibrismir

Maybe the coolest announcement I’ve ever made??

This was such a fun experience, and I’m still pinching myself that my Tolkien-loving path led me here!

I hope you’re excited for the new cards, and I hope you love them when they come out!

You may have seen, a few months ago I spoke on my first San Diego Comic Con panel! It felt like a dream and is something I’m honestly really proud of.

My dad was a big comic book fan when he was young, he had told me stories of going to the first ever SDCC, held in a hotel basement. Recently he went digging and found himself in old video footage from the event!

I dunno, it just feels like a real full circle moment, and a testament to going out and doing what you love. Thanks for leading the charge on cool nerd life, dad. by @exlibrismir

In the words of JRR Tolkien: “Frodo deserved all honour because he spent every drop of his power of will and body, and that was just sufficient to bring him to the destined point, and no further. Few others, possibly no others of his time, would have got so far.”

It’s been 4 years since I started Tolkien Tuesday!

I started making Tolkien videos 4 years ago on a whim, and never expected anyone to care about them. But you started watching them, and it gave me the courage to keep making more, and now here we are.

In those 4 years I’ve expanded my own knowledge and love for this universe and I’ve connected with so many of you on your journeys. I’ve gone to San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con. I’ve been trusted to speak about Tolkien on two official convention panels. I’ve done official interviews with filmmakers and actors. I went to a movie premiere in London and did archery at a castle. I’ve been given incredible gifts. I was hired to write for Magic the Gathering. I met Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens, Richard Taylor, David Wenham, Sean Astin, Jed Brophy and so many others who brought the LOTR films to life, and I was able to tell them how much those films mean to me. And I’ve made incredible friendships with amazing people who share these passions with me, who I’m so grateful to have in my life.

And all of this is because you let me be myself and share something that I love with you, and you trusted me to teach you, and you cheered me on.

I never intended to be a content creator, I never could have guessed any of this would happen and it still feels surreal at times. But I’m so eternally grateful and thankful and humbled by it all. What a gift it is. by @exlibrismir

This post is called: “Miranda saw one of her absolute favorite artists live last night and had an amazing time, so now she is sharing with you.”

I had a VIP ticket to see Jay B (@defjayb.kr) from GOT7 in LA! I was front row for soundcheck, I met up with some wonderful friends that I befriended at Jay B’s show last year, I got to take photos with him (I don’t have the photos yet though) he complimented my hat, and I sang and danced and loved every minute.

I was lucky enough to get to preview the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in LA last weekend!
And I can finally share pictures with you!

Not only is this museum architecturally stunning, it has one of the coolest, most varied collections I’ve seen. Obviously a must-see if you’re a Star Wars fan, but I was also so excited to see all the classic art, fantasy and sci-fi art, and art that evokes every aspect of life.

You should have seen how giddy I was when I found a beautiful massive triptych of paintings of our boy Melkor.

Anyway, I definitely recommend checking it out if you find yourself in Los Angeles! by @exlibrismir

Very fond memories 💚
Archery at Hever Castle in England with the ‘War of the Rohirrim’ team!
Featuring the absolute best unexpected adventure partner @jackijing, and Fred the archery instructor, who filled my heart with his quiet kindness.

An unexpected deep dive! An intro to the 1977 Hobbit film, inspired by my new Bilbos from @darkhorsedirect @darkhorsecomics.

Do you remember your first time seeing this movie?

Even more fun with the cast and creators of The Rings of Power! Thank you all for spending time with us at SDCC and celebrating Tolkien with people like me.
