*MOSA Celebrates Late Dr Tai Solarin*

Today, Monday, July 27, 2026 is the 32nd Remembrance of our school founder, Late Dr. Tai Solarin who departed this world on July 27, 1994 due to the aftermath of a protest march at the popular Yaba, Lagos whilst fighting for a better Nigeria.

Ex-mays, Mayflower Community and indeed Nigerians will continue to remember him for what he stood for as a social critic, good governance crusader and educationist who used everything within his reach to seek for a better Nigeria and education for all.

It will therefore be great that the Mayflower Community take the day to remember our departed hero, sage, mentor, visionary and founder of Mayflower School, Late Dr Tai Solarin.

It will be appreciated if all Ex-Mays adopt the picture of Uncle Tai Solarin displayed above as our DP for the day and with the inscription “ *The man, Tai Solarin, his Legacy lives on* “ while a minute silence is also observed @ 12:00 noon Nigerian time.

The MOSA Executives in line with the decision made at the 2026 Expanded Exco session with Class set representatives, therefore enjoin all Ex-Mays worldwide to observe a minute silence in his honour at exactly 12pm today, July 27th, 2026 at our respective locations.

As Ex-mays, we shall continue to celebrate the great man whose doggedness and passion for education and better Nigeria made many of our pathways to cross.

Dr. Tai Solarin, lives on as Ex-mays and indeed Nigerians salute a great man in you.

Thank you.

*eSigned:*
