A little retro Halloween fun, Ex Nihilo style! 🎃🍷

We dusted off some old-school Halloween games, bobbed for donuts, sipped on wine, and saw some seriously impressive costumes at our third annual Halloween Social!

And speaking of costumes… a big round of applause for this year's winners! 👏

🏆 Best Group: The Batman crew 🦇

🏆 Best Solo: The Clown 🤡

🏆 Best Couple: Gandalf & the Elf 🧙‍♂️

From all of us in the Super Mario crew, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to play! 🍄⭐

A little extra hang time for the grapes means a little more time for you to wander through the vines and enjoy the fruits of our labour. 🍇🍂

Harvest is underway at Ex Nihilo, but we're in no rush to pick this estate block of Pinot Noir.

A few extra days on the vine can help deepen flavours, soften tannins and bring everything into balance.

Our vineyard and winemaking teams are keeping a close eye on each block, waiting for just the right moment to pick.

Because sometimes, the best thing you can do is give something a little more time. 🍷

Fall looks good in BC wine country. 🍂🍇

The 'ber months are for ripe fruit, golden vines, crisp autumn air and a little extra magic around the estate.

Come see for yourself.

A Message From Our Winemaker 🍇

"We're heading into fall on the heels of an exceptional summer.

Consistent warmth and well-timed rainfall have created excellent growing conditions, and we’re now beginning to see the fruits of the season’s work.

Harvest is officially underway, with grapes from now coming into the winery. Fruit is showing beautiful concentration, while tannins are ripening evenly and natural acidity remains vibrant, bringing together the balance, complexity and freshness that define Ex Nihilo wines.

With more sunshine and just a touch of rain in the forecast, conditions remain promising as we move toward the main harvest across the estate. We’ll continue monitoring each block closely, picking at the ideal moment to capture the unique character and full potential of this vintage.

All signs point to a healthy harvest ahead!"

— Jim Faulkner, Senior Winemaker
