Dear @jprincerespect,

This year Fleming Middle School along with 12 other schools unfortunately were closed down due to test scores and attendance numbers. Fleming is more than just a building to us. It’s personal. It’s one of the first schools that opened their doors to us as community leaders, mentors, businessmen, and brothers during one of the hardest times our city ever faced. During COVID, when people were losing hope, losing jobs, losing family, and losing direction, Fleming allowed us to come in and pour into their youth. We brought clothing, supplies, scholarships, guidance, money, mentorship, and most importantly, presence. We stood with those kids and those families when they needed somebody to believe in them.

So hearing that Fleming Middle School is closing hit different for us. Because to us, closing schools means we are slowly giving up on the next generation. And we refuse to do that.

That’s why we are calling on The Prince family, to stand with us as we work toward purchasing Fleming Middle School and restoring it back to prominence for the Fifth Ward community. We don’t just want to buy a school. We want to rebuild hope. We want to create a foundation that teaches wealth, leadership, business, discipline, creativity, and purpose for generations to come.

At Exotic Pop, our mission has always been bigger than drinks or business. It’s about reaching back and making sure the generation behind us has more knowledge, more opportunity, and more belief in themselves than we had. We believe when you spread knowledge, you create wealth of life. And when you plant into the youth, you grow the tree for the future.

Fleming mattered to us then and It matters to us now. And with God leading the way, Fleming Middle School will reopen its doors for our community and be ran by our community! Join u OG in Jesus Name! 🙏🏾
