POSTS STORIES REELS

7 weeks after, and the first cohort of the Impact Lab has been more than a surreal experience, I have had the absolute honour of leading 65 non-profit leaders and for them, it has been a space for growth, bold ideas, honest reflection, and meaningful community.

From thoughtful conversations to powerful presentations and shared encouragement, every session was delivered for them to think deeper, build better, and contribute more intentionally.

What stood out most was how builders reflected on their journey with clarity and honesty. Most remained excited about the Impact Innovation and Programme Design led by , rating it 10/10, while describing all other modules as a strong 9. That kind of reflection captures the heart of the experience: not just showing up to learn, but engaging deeply with what truly resonated.

So much brilliance, growth, feedback, and possibility in one space. Grateful for the opportunity to design and deliver an rigorous and practical experience based on the learning, the courage, and enthusiasm that matches the quality of the non-profit leadership community we’re building together.

SWIPE TO THE END: We’re 3 weeks into ImpactLab 1.0 and I need to be honest about something.

I built this mentoring programme thinking I knew what 7 weeks of LEAD-BUILD-SCALE would feel like on the other side of the screen. I didn’t.

Watching 62 founders and leaders show up every Sunday, analyse their leadership capacities, build real governance frameworks and fortify their theories of change for their actual organisations using global case studies has been mind-blowing. These leaders, who joined with half-formed organisation one-pager and 3 weeks in, are already iterating their program hypothesis, developing their organisation’s skills audit tracker and formulating a funding pipeline that can aid a scale strategy they are envisioning.

We’re not done. There’s still Impact Innovation & Programme Design, Strategic Narrative & Digital Storytelling, Grassroots Campaigning, and Scale week to go. But I already know I’m doing this again and YOU SHOULD NOT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE.

Applications for ImpactLab 2.0 are open. Today.

If you’re building something, a community-based organisation, an NGO, a movement, or you just have a cause you can’t stop thinking about and you’ve been doing it alone, this is your Sunday. And join us for 7 Sundays from October till December.

These 9 books can help you build 9 skills that is critical to your journey, this is one stack every nonprofit leader should own.

Most of us lead by instinct and learn the hard way. These nine make the learning cheaper; each one sharpening a different muscle you need to lead, build and scale real impact.

Don’t read all nine. Pick the one skill your organisation is weakest at this quarter, and start there.

Which one are you starting with? 👇 Save this for your next planning cycle.

This is unarguably one of the most intentional decisions I have ever made. This is a deliberate investment in people who are already carrying the weight of communities, causes, and systems that cannot afford weak leadership.

I will spend my time helping them lead an intentional life built on capacity so that can build organisations fortified to sustain impact with the right foundations underneath them.

It’s a fact that building, in this context, means creating something that can survive the first wave of funding, the first public crisis, and the first moment when passion alone is no longer enough.

With these builders, we will learn how to lead. Not the performance of leadership, but the practice of it. How to make hard calls with incomplete information. How to hold people accountable without crushing them. How to stay rooted in mission when the pressure to look successful starts to distort everything.

Moreover, too many organizations grow in size while shrinking in integrity. Through this bootcamp, we will learn how to scale what actually works; real impact through systems, not just stories. Scaling means knowing what to protect, what to let go of, and how to multiply results without multiplying chaos. This decision costs time, attention, and a kind of quiet persistence that rarely photographs well.

With the Lead, Build and Scale Growth Model, my job is to help them build well, lead clearly, and scale with purpose, so the work outlasts all of us.

Welcome once again, to the @expact_global Impact Lab

There you have it; introducing the last batch of builders of the first cohort of this NGO Management Bootcamp. To work with these people who are not waiting for permission but are already carry organizations, communities, and causes that demand more than good intentions, remains a key source of satisfaction.

What they asked for and what I have built this batch around is the discipline to build well, the courage to lead clearly, and the judgment to scale without losing the soul of the work.

Over the coming weeks, we will work on the unglamorous parts that actually determine whether an organization lasts: strategy that can be executed, teams that can function without constant rescue, decisions that hold under pressure, and growth that multiplies impact instead of multiplying noise.

My role is to leverage my expertise and experience to sharpen what they already have and give them the tools to use it at a higher level.

This first batch matters to me because the work we all lead already touches real lives. If they build with more intention, lead with more clarity, and scale with more integrity, the effect will not stay in the room with us. It will move outward.

Welcome to 1st cohort of Impact Lab.

The work begins now.

Building an NGO that actually lasts isn’t just about passion, it’s about alignment.

The McKinsey 7S Framework helps you check if your strategy, structure, systems, staff, skills, style, and shared values are all working together (instead of pulling in different directions). Like Kotter’s 8 step model, these frameworks are NOT symbolic mnemonics, they are system drivers that actually WORKS!

When everything lines up, your team moves faster, your impact goes deeper, and your organization becomes stronger for the long run. NGO Leadership, many times than often is about making Small tweaks to deliver Big difference.

Save this if you’re building something that matters. #NGOFounders #SocialImpact #NonprofitLeadership #ImpactDriven by @expact_global
