Trans-Africa 2023, here we go!

There’s a reason we never share our routes…because on a long-term trans-continental trip like this they’re ever-changing. But, here’s our original planned route for this journey. Now that things in Sudan are heating up we will play it by ear and adapt it as needed, like we always do.

Excited to finally share this with you all though and to kickstart this next bit Trans-Continental trip. Regardless of where we go, it’s going to be one hell of an adventure. Here we go 🧡

We’ve taken a lot of photos together through our trips, but these may be my favorite 🎈✨

We both underestimated just how much we’d love it here. The hot air balloons fly almost every single morning here in Cappadocia due to the areas near-perfect wind conditions and thought it was probably one of those things that would be incredible the first time around but the magic would wear off after a time or two…But every single morning, without fail, we got giddy at the sound of the balloons filling up outside our window and when the balloons started taking off in the Martian-like surroundings you simply can’t help but be in awe.

We weren’t sure if they were going to fly this morning because they were called off the day prior, but so happy they did. What an incredible way to end this leg of our trip. 🧡

The weather is changing here in North Idaho…which means winter is coming!

Pub worthy? 🇬🇧 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼🇺🇸

“The Loo” is officially done! Buying a 1980’s fixer upper is no walk in the park but each week we’re getting closer to fully transforming it into our dream home. We’ve been working like mad over the last week to take it from bare room to completed guest half bath and just shared it all in the our latest YouTube video which is actually our longest one to date…crammed so much in this week but so so proud of where this project ended up.

Our first real “date” was a 2-week roadtrip in the Smokey Mountains and that’s what started it all. Since then, getting on the road and on the trails has been a part of our relationship. And then in 2018, we decided to hit the road on our biggest adventure. What started as a trip from California to Argentina turned into 6 years of adventure around the world.

Now, in our next chapter here in North Idaho, getting outdoors has a whole new level of importance to break away from work, keep our adventureous spark alive, and remind of what’s truly important. Proud to be partnered with @onxoffroad in this next chapter. Can’t imagine this little life without Benji and Will Feral and can’t wait to get our on the road more soon with them both 🧡 taken in Idaho, USA by @expeditionrove

So that was Lofoten and you definitely SHOULD NOT GO, it was horrible in every way :)

Hiking one of Norway’s most famous trails, Reinebringen, with Tati girl 🧡 It’s a 1,978 stair climb to one of the best views in Norway (on a clear day 😂) but 10/10 recommend no matter the weather. taken in Lofoten Islands, Norway by @expeditionrove

A long overdue trip in Tango 🍊🧡 A few behind-the-scenes moments from our latest YouTube episode, captured by @jakobaadnesmedia

Benji had his first-ever run-in with a wild skunk. The braai was blazing, the views were unreal, and for a little while, the never-ending project list didn’t matter.

This was a bit of a redemption trip to Montana. Last time Tango was driving to Montana, the engine blew up on us. We ended up having to get a new engine from England and Andy swapped it himself (I’ve genuinely never been so impressed). We’ve stayed pretty close to home since the swap, but it was time to rip the bandaid off and put some miles on it. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend with @andypottter @ggpbby @jakobaadnesmedia @journal.of.jan @alectra.aadnes

Little by little…this house is becoming our dream home 🥲

When we bought this 1980ms fixer upper, we knew what we were getting into…it was the cheapest house for a reason. But, we saw it’s potential and slowly but surely it’s becoming the place we’ve always dreamed of having together. A soft place to land, a place to gather friends and family, and a place that truly feels like ours. We’ve still have such a long way to go on the renovation but man, oh man, does it feel good to look at how far we’ve come so far. Forever celebrating the wins and milestones along the way 🧡
