💌 It Started with a Postcard

We first discovered Vancouver Island artist Capri Sadler through her postcards — and immediately fell in love with the way she captured the Island: its coastlines, wildlife, landmarks, and all the tiny details hidden throughout her illustrations.

That postcard became the beginning of Coastal Tales.

🔍 Look a Little Closer

A postcard gives an illustration plenty of room. A magnet doesn’t.

We didn’t want all those beautiful little details to disappear when the artwork became smaller — so we added a magnifying glass, inviting you to look closer and discover the Island piece by piece.

🏔️ From Flat to Dimensional

Then we added something a postcard can’t quite do: layers and raised relief.

Landmarks rise from the illustration, giving the artwork depth and turning something you normally look at into something you can explore with your hands.

✨ Designed to Remember

We’ve always believed a souvenir should be more than something beautiful to look at.

When you touch it, move it, explore it, and discover something new, you interact with it. And through that interaction, memories are made.

From a postcard we loved to a little piece of Vancouver Island you can explore again and again.

When BC’s provincial flower blooms before its capital landmark…

Victoria is the capital of British Columbia—and a city that seems to bloom through every season.

From early spring to late autumn, flowers take turns filling its streets and gardens. Even in winter, the city’s mild climate leaves small signs of life in bloom.

For our new 3D paper-cut notebook, Victoria in Full Bloom, we brought together two symbols of this place:

🤍 The Pacific dogwood, British Columbia’s official provincial flower
🏛️ The BC Parliament Buildings, Victoria’s most recognizable landmark

White dogwood blossoms frame the foreground, surrounded by layers of pink, blue, and purple flowers—not to represent one particular month, but the ever-changing floral seasons of Victoria.

As the paper layers unfold, flowers bloom at the front, the fountain and lawn extend through the middle, and the Parliament Buildings rise quietly behind them beneath a soft blue sky.

Finished in a gentle sage green, with scattered petals drifting across the cover, the notebook captures more than a single season. It holds the feeling of a city that is almost always accompanied by flowers.
