However, the good side of Anakin never completely disappears. Years later, his son, Luke Skywalker, refuses to believe that his father is completely evil.
Luke’s compassion eventually reaches Anakin. When Palpatine tries to kill Luke, Anakin chooses to save his son instead. He turns against Palpatine and sacrifices himself to protect Luke. In doing so, Anakin returns to the light side of the Force.
Anakin’s story is ultimately a tragedy about fear, love, choices, and redemption. He is not simply a hero or a villain. His journey shows how fear and desperation can lead someone down a destructive path, but it also shows that people can choose to change, even after making terrible mistakes.
