Porsche unveiled its next supercar on Thursday, just hours before Tesla’s Roadster flew over a row of cars in Texas.

The Mission S concept debuted that afternoon on a pier in Queens, New York, while Tesla’s livestreamed reveal took over headlines that night.

The Mission S previews a mid engine supercar that Porsche says will sit above the 911 as a permanent part of its lineup, not a limited run hypercar. Its design pulls from classic race cars like the 911 GT1 and 917, and the cabin keeps screens to a minimum with five round gauges and a physical tachometer needle.

Porsche hasn’t shared pricing, a release date or what’s powering it, though German newspaper Handelsblatt reported last month that it could be the first road going Porsche with a flat eight engine. The two reveals took very different approaches, with Porsche leaning into its racing history and Tesla focused on flight.

We can’t ship an entire city to Mars. But we might be able to grow its building materials there.

Pioneer Labs, a nonprofit in Emeryville, California, is developing bacteria that turn Martian soil into plastic.

Starting with a bacterium that naturally produces plastic, researchers guided its evolution through more than a trillion cell divisions. The resulting strain can get all the nutrients it needs from simulated Martian dirt, despite its toxic compounds, without fertilizer from Earth. In tests mimicking Mars, it produced more than three times as much plastic as the original strain.

CEO Erika Alden DeBenedictis says equipment delivered by a single rocket launch could eventually transform Martian soil, water and air into enough building material for a small city.

And this bacterium is just the beginning. Pioneer Labs plans to develop five microbes in total as part of its effort to make Mars greener.

Owning a flying Tesla Roadster in London sounds like a dream until you realize parking rules still exist.

The Roadster takes off from a residential street, flies through a tunnel, and eventually gets a parking ticket while hovering inside a parking garage.

Tesla has previously teased the possibility of using SpaceX technology in its next-generation Roadster, including rocket thrusters that could potentially allow the car to hover.

A wedding gift every gamer dreams of. ❤️🎮

A bride in China reportedly brought her groom to tears after surprising him with an ASUS NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics card on their wedding day.

The gift was reportedly valued at around $12,000, far above the RTX 5090’s original $1,999 starting price. Some premium versions have reached extraordinary prices amid growing demand for high-performance GPUs, including those used for AI.

But the groom’s emotional reaction had little to do with the price. The moment captured how much it meant to receive something so perfectly matched to his passion.

For PC gamers, this might be the ultimate wedding gift.

What would your dream wedding gift be?

🚗 Sam Altman paid $50,000 for Tesla’s Roadster, then waited nearly 8 years for it

In 2018, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman reserved Tesla’s next-generation Roadster with a $50,000 deposit. What was supposed to be an exciting purchase turned into years of waiting as the electric supercar repeatedly missed expectations for its arrival.

In October 2025, Altman revealed that he had tried to cancel his reservation, but his email to Tesla’s reservations address reportedly bounced back. Elon Musk responded on X, claiming the refund had already been processed within 24 hours. Their public exchange quickly turned the delayed car into another chapter in their ongoing rivalry.

Now, in October 2026, the Roadster is attracting attention again because of Tesla’s ambitious plans for SpaceX-inspired thrusters and dramatic aerial maneuvers. However, the car’s final capabilities and production timeline remain uncertain, with production expected in 2028.

Would you wait nearly eight years for a car like this, or would you demand your money back? 👀

🚨 Tesla’s New Roadster Could Fly and Perform Backflips

Tesla’s next-generation Roadster is making headlines again, with bold claims about capabilities that could redefine what a sports car can do. Elon Musk has previously hinted that the electric supercar could feature advanced technology unlike anything seen in a production vehicle.

The Tesla Roadster is expected to combine extreme acceleration, futuristic engineering, and potentially innovative propulsion systems. Musk has even suggested that the vehicle could briefly lift off the ground, raising questions about how far Tesla plans to push automotive technology.

While the idea of a flying electric sports car performing backflips has captured attention online, these capabilities have not been officially demonstrated in a production-ready Roadster. The viral footage should not be treated as confirmation that Tesla has achieved these features.

Some of the smartest designs are the ones that solve everyday problems in simple but thoughtful ways. Braille built directly into a railing can help blind and visually impaired visitors understand information about their surroundings, while pool escape ramps can give animals a way to get out safely if they accidentally fall into the water. Small additions like these can dramatically improve how accessible and useful a space becomes.

Other designs are created to make people stop and look twice, such as crosswalks painted to create a three-dimensional illusion or structures shaped in unexpected ways. They may seem unusual at first, but each idea demonstrates how creativity and thoughtful design can transform ordinary objects and public spaces into something more practical, accessible, and memorable.

What would the world look like if ChatGPT had the power to rewrite its laws?

When asked to introduce five laws for humanity, ChatGPT came up with ideas that could challenge the way governments, corporations, and global institutions operate.

Its proposals included making basic necessities accessible to everyone, protecting personal data, removing money's influence from politics, holding leaders responsible for wars, and preventing AI from becoming too powerful.

But the most interesting part is that ChatGPT proposed limiting the very technology it represents.

As AI becomes increasingly capable of shaping economies, political decisions, and everyday life, the question of who controls it becomes more important than ever.

If you could make just one of these five laws a reality, which would you choose?
